The product, in the report: Colibri Firebird Clear Afterburner Cigar Lighter from JR Cigars: https://www.jrcigars.com/item/colibri-cigar-lighters/firebird-clear-afterburner/3FBABCL.html
Less than 2 years ago, I purchased a Colibri Firebird Clear Afterburner cigar lighter, and I believe the small butane-holding plastic or polymer container cracked and broke due to me cleaning the exterior with rubbing alcohol. Not only is this a defective product, but of course also, this is a hazardous product because a leaking fuel container on a lighter can lead to unintended combustion and fire injury. Cracks formed like I explained, there were pressure changes, then butane violently escaped as a liquid and gas. I’ll hold on to the product so I can provide pictures upon request. And I’ve sent out questions about this matter to companies like Colibri and am yet to receive a response, so from what I recall, the manufacturer doesn’t even provide warning that cleaning these products with alcohol can create cracks that break the product and cause butane to shoot out wastefully and dangerously. I asked for a replacement too, and didn’t receive a response as of today.
