The product, in the report: Master brand 3-hole punch unit is housed in a black and chrome housing. This unit has 3 tubes where punching takes place and tubes are open on the top exposing the piston as seen in the photos Master Products 5335B
I was at my work place using a 3-hole punch when it malfunctioned. Thankfully I wearing my reader eye glasses as I was punching pages for a document when the middle piston of the 3-hole punch exploded out of the unit and hit the left lens of my reader eyeglasses, then bounced of the reader glasses and hit my left eye socket between the eye lid and the eye brow. When I recovered from the initial shock and determined that I was not injured I was able to locate the parts of the 3-hole punch that exploded out of the unit. I found a 1- inch metal piston and spring and discovered that the piston sheared and was forcefully ejected by the spring action.
