The product, in the report: Black 5.5-inch deep-dome reptile light/heat lamp fixture with E26 ceramic socket and dimming control. Advertised for heat lamps and ceramic heat emitters, maximum 160W.

My house could have cough fire On September 6, 2026, I received and installed a QYKAVM reptile heat-lamp fixture purchased from Amazon. At approximately 10:00 p.m., I began using it with a 150W ceramic heat emitter both bought at the same time from Amazon . At about midnight, a household member smelled burning plastic and discovered flames near the tortoise enclosure. The fire was extinguished and the dome was disconnected. When I was awakened, the house was filled with smoke.Afterward, I observed severe burning and melting of the fixtures cord/control area. The fire also damaged/cracked the tortoise enclosure and burned the support underneath it. A nearby light fixture that was not in use ,also had cord damage from the fire. The tortoise appeared okay , The dome light had been in use for about two hours. I do not know the precise electrical cause of the fire.
