  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 2, 2011, sent to the company Dec 12, 2011, published by CPSC Dec 27, 2011

The product, in the report: The product is a portable detox machine called: a Portable Intelligent Dry Heat Sauna (Far Infrared Ray) FIR

My wife purchased a Portable Intelligent Dry Heat Sauna (Far Infrared Ray) FIR in 2008 from Detox America ( SN#S00025331) [Address: 4646 North Shallowford, suite 100 Atlanta, GA 30338 US Phone number: [REDACTED]] in Chicago in 2008. She used periodically. One morning (27 Nov 2011)ing when she got it started to smell and she noticed a small fire in the right pouch area. She quickly got out and unplugged it. It appears as though the heating wires must have caused some short as the side has burned material around it. My wife was not hurt, but you should look into a possible defect; as the fire could have been more serious if it were not for my wife’s quick thinking.

I think it is important to get the word out, but theDetox america email adress and numbers don’t appear to be active. Maybe out of busienss?
