The product, in the report: Cigarette lighter SKU-U903400
The consumer stated that at 7:30 a.m., she got up to smoke a cigarette. The consumer lit her cigarette and placed her lighter on the table next to a pen. The consumer walked away and went to care for her birds. The consumer stated that she didn’t realize that her lighter was lit when she walked away until her husband brought to her attention. The pen that was near the lighter caught fire and melted. The consumer’s husband informed her that he walked back into the room and saw flames coming from the table and saw that the pen was on fire. The fire was fairly small and the consumer’s husband used his hand to put out the flames. Damages was limited to the pen. The manufacturer was not contacted, but will be at a later time. Note: The consumer feels that if her husband did not walk back into the room their home could’ve burned down.
