The product, in the report: Quantum disposable lighter
There was a disposable lighter sitting on my coffee table and it exploded. It was about 75 to 80 degrees and it was last used about 3 to 5 hours before the explosion. A 1 inch by 1/2 inch piece of plastic separated from the lighter. the missing plastic was on the flat side of the lighter and went from the base to about the middle of the lighter The lighter few about 4 feet from the table and landed on the floor. I heard the bang and when I went to investigate I could smell the butane in the air.
The lighter has the word Quantum stamped into the metal and no other markings on it.
