The product, in the report: Liberty lites lighter. Plastic fuel tank. They come in many colors. Metal hood. Disposable.
I was using a liberty lites 98 024 lighter and did not know of the recall. On November 23,2025, the lighter exploded in my right hand. I lit a cigarette, accidentally bumped the ashtray when putting the lighter on the table, and it exploded before I could set it down. My hand tingled for several hours after, but no apparent cuts or burns. I am so glad there was no spark. It could have been really bad.
