No incident, no one hurt Made Jul 9, 2024, sent to the company Jul 12, 2024, published by CPSC Jul 29, 2024
The product, in the report: The product is a Kidsview baby bouncer. It consists of a metal frame that lies flat on the floor and has an upper frame that can have the angle adjusted by way of a button mechanism. The upper frame supports a fabric seat for the baby.
This is about the Kidsview baby bouncer from Zhongshan City Cironbaby Co., Ltd.
The metal supports that hold up the fabric come in multiple pieces and these pieces cannot be latched together securely as designed. The supports were separating, causing my baby to be at an angle closer and closer to the floor.
I have also had a problem with the locking mechanism that sets the angle of the bouncer. There is a screw on the bottom that, when turned too tightly, prevents the button from locking. I had to loosen the screw to allow the buttons to lock and set the angle.
No injuries have occurred but this is clearly a badly designed product.

The product, in the report: Visit the KIDSVIEW Store 4.5 out of 5 stars139 Reviews Baby Bouncer for Infants, Bouncer for Babies with 3 Seat Positions, Infant to Toddler Rocker Bouncy Seat Perfect for Newborn Baby, Baby Bouncer Seat Applicable Object: 0-6 Months for Infants (Grey)
Purchased the KidsView baby bouncer from Amazon. The safety mechanism to allow for variable heights has a defect that allows the bouncer to fall straight to the floor. My newborn (5 weeks 4 days) fell from the lowest setting while strapped into the bouncer. I was able to replicate the problem through trial and error. The safety mechanism has two push buttons that must be pressed in order from 1 to 2 to adjust the height. However if not released in the same order, the bouncer safety falsely latches. My newborn required an ER visit for head trauma. This product is not safe as currently designed. Please review the safety mechanism.
