No one hurt Made Oct 19, 2024, sent to the company Oct 23, 2024, published by CPSC Nov 6, 2024
The product, in the report: Fisher Price Snuga monkey bouncer
This is a snug a monkey bouncer. My baby was in it while I cooked dinner. She was right beside me and I happened go catch her before she suffocated. I checked her breathing and moved it then after I calmed I set her back in it like this to take a photo to show moms how dangerous it is. Then I cut the head rest off her bouncer and her swing.
Yes she was awake. She was right beside me too. She was in front of the refrigerator and I was in front of the stove which is right beside the fridgejust far enough over that she was safe from any hot food splash back. I know people tend to think this only happens when parents use these for sleep but I was so cautious with mine I didnt let them sleep in swings or bouncers once I learned about positional asphyxiation. Its like she got herself into that position and decided to accept it and cozy up. I will say she loved to keep her hands in her face and Im positive thats what she was trying to do and accidentally pushed the cushion against her while trying to get her hand to her face.

Emergency room Made Jan 26, 2024, sent to the company Jan 30, 2024, published by CPSC Feb 13, 2024
The product, in the report: The product is a Mattel Fisher-Price Sunnyside Snail Baby Bouncer. Here is a link to information on the product from Mattel’s website: https://service.mattel.com/us/productDetail.aspx?prodno=BGB11&siteid=27
On January 17, 2024, my 13 month daughter was touching a Fisher Price Sunnyside Snail Baby Bouncer at daycare when she got her right index finger stuck in the product. When she pulled her finger away to get it un-stuck, she almost amputated her right index fingertip with a very deep laceration. We took her to the [REDACTED] Hospital emergency room where they had to use a finger tourniquet to stop the bleeding. She ended up receiving 4 stiches in her right fingertip under sedation from a pediatric orthopedic hand surgeon. Fortunately, there was no fracture and the tendons, ligaments, and arteries were intact and not damaged. But in her 5-day follow-up appointment with the pediatric orthopedic hand surgeon, they stated if she had been an adult this laceration was deep enough that it would have resulted in a fingertip amputation.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Infant To Toddler Rocker - Pink Critters design
My 9 month old was using the Fisher Price Infant To Toddler Rocker, as per the manuals instructions, with the restraint and supervised. While she was in the seat she was able to roll onto her side, where she got stuck and had I not been sitting there watching her, she wouldn’t have been able to get out of the position. I quickly removed her from the seat and discontinued use. I pulled the manual and verified that we had not surpassed any milestones- we hadn’t.

No one hurt Made Mar 5, 2021, sent to the company Mar 18, 2021, published by CPSC Apr 1, 2021
The product, in the report: Fisher Price forest fun green grove bouncer sold at target. Product # x7037. Model X7037 The recline is deep; the front of the vibrating bouncer is 7.25” above the ground, and the back of the seat is 12.5” above the ground. It requires a D battery which is secured by a Phillips head screw. It has a 3-point harness; only the side straps tighten, there is no adjustment for the center crotch strap. The front legs are a width of 21.75”. The back of the leg support, underneath the bounced is 11.5” wide. The back of the seat is 18” high, and the seat of it is 10.5” deep. It has a removable bar with 3 spinning toys, one of which is also a rattle (center toy, and it has a dangling mushroom dropping an additional 3” from it). The side toys, at the lowest, are 11.5” above the lowest part of the fabric seat (where the crotch strap is sewn); at its highest, the entire toy bar is 15” above the lowest part of the fabric seat. The frame is metal, with rubber bumpers in 4 places. The part of the seat where my son’s legs would be lifts up when the seat is unoccupied to allow the cover to be removed and the battery changed for the vibrating function. The seat is less than 30” from the front of its base to the top of the fabric seat (difficult to measure as it’s at an angle).
My son was 4 months, under 14 lbs, in his fisher price bouncer, product #x7037, well below the 20lb limit and not attempting to sit up on his own (he is still below both of these milestones at 7 months). I was beside him, he was strapped into the 3-point harness as tight as the straps would tighten to his stomach. The crotch strap is not adjustable in length. He managed to flip over-facing completely backward from his waist up. His waist was twisted sideways to his left. Because he was strapped in, he got stuck with his face pressed into the fabric back of the seat. His cries were muffled. If I hadn’t been beside him, I wouldn’t have seen him flip sideways/backwards, and I wouldn’t have heard him crying. He could have gotten stuck when I didn’t know and easily suffocated.

The product, in the report: baby rocking chair: Fisher-Price Baby’s Bouncer Geo Meadow, bought on amazon.com Style: Geo Meadow, but other styles have identical design
Product: Fisher-Price Baby’s Bouncer Geo Meadow, bought on amazon.com An 8 months old was left in this chair alone for ~10 seconds. She was strapped in. I heard a thud of her head hitting the floor. I recreated the incident while holding her: she pushed against the seat with her legs and that was enough to topple the chair. She fell on her head from a considerable height. I put her in the same position into our other rocking chair of similar design and it was impossible to topple that one.

The product, in the report: Fisher price infant to toddler rocker. Animal/zoo themed. Multi colored
I have a safety concern/ complaint for this product. My 9 month old was secured in the seat in the reclined/stationary position and attempted to quickly sit up and actually managed to tip the entire seat forward, resulting in her hitting her face/head on the floor and was very momentarily trapped like that with the seat on top of her back. She’s only 17 pounds which is way under the weight limit so this concerns me that a baby so light is able to manage this. She is fine, but this could’ve been worse

The product, in the report: Fisher-Price CMR13 Newborn to Toddler Folding Baby Rocker Chair (this came from the walmart website, since I brought it there) This rocker rocks. It has multiple uses, including playing, soothing, snoozing, feeding and just hangin’ around. The rocker starts out as a newborn seat or rocker with a low-profile frame, very appropriate for newborns. Then, as your child grows, you can easily convert it to an infant seat with a removable toy bar. As your little one continues to grow not so little anymore, it transitions into a toddler rocker for children up to 40 lbs. Foldable, portable and rockable … what’s not to love?
My son who’s 1 years old, was sitting in the Fisher-Price CMR13 Newborn to Toddler Folding Baby Rocker Chair, and literally went forward, falling on his face and stomach. He was so scared afterwards, that he didn’t bother to sit in it after that. It’s really not safe and has no straps to hold at the chest area, only at the waist and has no real support. If children are leaning, which it’s in the sitting position or the recline position they’ll still be able to fall as infants. I really didn’t know what to do, and was in shock, felt guilty and traumatized. That ruined the whole family event that day.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Infant-to- toddler rocker. Purchased at Walmart.
My 4 month old granddaughter died on January 7, 2019 while sleeping in the Fisher Price Infant-to-toddler rocker. She was perfectly healthy when she was place in this seat. The next morning, she was found dead by her father. She had rolled onto her side in this seat and was found in this position. The rocker is stated on the Fisher Price website as “soothing and snoozing...keeps babies cozy and secure.” This is not a safe place for infants to be sleeping. Autopsy showed nothing abnormal with her body. This was my daughters only child and my only grandchild.

Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker is the name of the product.
On 04/23/2017 at approximately 1000hrs my baby one year old female ([REDACTED]) who is approximately 18.5LB was rocking in this product when this product tipped completely frontward dropping my baby’s whole body on the tile floor where she hit head first. The product is completely unstable and will tip over at the drop of a dime. The product was poorly built and designed it is to narrow as well as too high.
On 04/25/2017 at approximately 1330hrs my child was sitting in the chair, I personally placed the front legs on the chair on the floor so that my child could not rock at all, so that the chair stood only in place. While my child was reaching for a toy on ground from the side of the chair when the chair once again flipped over from the side throwing my child onto her head once again but his time even more violently. I rushed my child to the nearest emergency room located at Florida Heartland Hospital in Sebring, FL. Where she received treatment for extreme head injury pertaining to the incident.
I witnessed both incidents both events happened so fast that I was powerless to do anything but watch my one year old daughter be injured by this dangerous chair. As prior law enforcement both local and federal as well as retired military, I find it very difficult to imagine that Fisher Price has no knowledge that this chair was dangerous and I have actually uncovered an old internet post of this same event happening to a new born in 2012, I have posted the post below. I will be personally contacting Washington DC about this matter and attempting to speak to a director in CPSC about the matter.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Infant to toddler rocker. About this item The newborn to toddler rocker is a portable grow with baby rocker and seat. The modern, sturdy frame includes three different recline positions for newborns, infants, and toddlers. It can be used as a rocking seat or, with positioners in the back, it can be converted to a stationary seat for feeding or napping. Calming vibrations help soothe baby. For playtime, a removable toy bar includes two hanging toys. The soft goods recline in the canopy provides extra comfort for newborns. The frame holds toddlers up to 40 pounds and mom can fold it for portability. For added convenience, the soft goods are machine washable and dryer safe.
I received the fisher Infant to toddler rocking chair from Amazon yesterday. We put it together and were sitting on our back patio. My son was sitting in his new chair and it flipped over face first while he was strapped in. As I ran to him in panic while he was trapped under the seat I was worried about his face on the cement. Thankfully he only had a large goose egg. However he was so shaken up he cried for several hours last night. This item should be recalled. I am a long time fisher price customer and have never had any safety issues. The outcome could have been much worse. This item appears to be a newer model and does not include a bar to keep it from tipping.

i have triplet babies and while taking care of one, my baby girl who is just beginning to move herself and roll around was by my feet. she rolled into the close angled base of the bouncer and was choked and constricted by the acute angle of the base to the back support. this angle provides the spring in the bounce. she was face forward into the point of the angle. her blood flow was being cut off and her hands were grasping at the wire frame only pushing her neck further into it. I had to get down and pull her neck out of it for her.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Infant-to-Toddler Rocker Product: P3334 Maximum Weight:40 lbs.
My five month old son fell forward while sitting in his Fisher Price Infant to toddler rocker. He was strapped in, but hit his face on the concrete patio. He sustained minor injury thanks to a water hose that just happened to be in the right spot to prevent direct impact of his head to the concrete. He was just learning to sit up without assistance, and evidently was doing so while buckled into the seat. The rocker was still attached to him, on top of him, after he fell.

I purchased the Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler Rocker - Turtle (Target exclusive) from Target.com on May 3, 2013 and assembled it on May 13. Two watch sized batteries came pre-installed in the turtle which is supposed to play music when you pull the ribbon. However, the batteries were weak and music stopped playing almost immediately so I removed them and set aside. On May 23, one of the batteries that was just sitting on a counter literally exploded with such force it hit the ceiling and broke in half. The room they were in is temperature controlled. Thankfully the batteries were not inside the turtle, which hangs from a toy bar inches from baby’s face. I have kept both batteries and removed them to a safe place for now.

Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 11, 2013, sent to the company Apr 19, 2013, published by CPSC May 3, 2013
The product, in the report: portable multi-position rocking chair (which converts to stationary seat) with toy bar and vibrating function)
My son leaned too far forward in his Fisher Price Newborn-to-Toddler Portable Rocker and fell out, pulling the chair down on top of him because he was buckled in. He was very startled and seemed to have lightly bumped his head in the front (on the floor?) and in the back (from struggling under the chair and/or the metal bar which forms the top frame of the chair swinging down onto him? We are uncertain because it happened very quickly and my husband did not see the actual flip occur, and as soon as he turned his head, our son seemed to be entirely under the chair rather than having the top part on top of his head or anything). There was a quickly fading red spot in both the front and the back of his head, which is why we assume he bumped it. We did not seek medical attention because he did not seem to have a lasting bump or bruise, was not knocked out, and didn’t seem to be acting funny afterwards.
The chair was in the stationary seat position at the time (not rocker position) and the seat back was upright.
The instructions say to buckle a child in until s/he is old enough to get in and out of the chair on his/her own. My son is 9 mo. old and can sit independently but cannot yet walk or get in and out of a chair, so we were using the buckle, as instructed. Interestingly BOUNCERS say not to use them after the child can sit independently--but this chair is supposed to be safe from birth all the way through toddlerhood to 40 lbs. We are now putting the chair away until our son is old enough to use without the belt.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Deluxe Infant to Toddler Comfort Rocker sold at Babies R US, Manufacturer #: V2559
The fisher price deluxe infant to toddler comfort rocker has metal parts that hold the toy bar in place. These two metal parts stick out on the side of the seat, despite pictures showing otherwise. My infant son who likes to try to sit up has hit his head several times on these metal parts often hurting himself. As infants learn to sit they often tend to lean to one side or another and then try to regain their balance. Again, in doing so, my infant son has hit his head several times against the metal parts on the sides of this seat, and pretty hard in some cases that it left a mark on his head. They should have designed the seat similar to the original infant to toddler seat which poses no such danger to infants.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Infant-to-toddler rocker. Product X3427 http://www.fisher-price.com/en_US/brands/babygear/products/65722
My 7 month old infant son plays in his Fisher Price infant and toddler rocker almost everyday. Two days back (01/01/2013) he was sitting as he usually does wearing his seat belt. He found something interesting that he wanted to catch and started sitting up and leaned forward to grab and eventually fell face down on hard wood flooring bumping his still to mature skull to the ground . Needless to say that this incident was painful for him and more so for us as parents.
It seems Fisher Price did not invest enough time and resources in the design of this baby gear as it is certainly not suitable for babies who are learning to sit up and get attracted to every thing around them.
I have tried contacting the manufacturer with the details of this incident but have not seen a response as yet from their side.
I would strongly recommend a recall of this product and compensation for all affected parents / families as there have been complains from other parents as well of babies falling down. One of the customers has even commented this on Target’s webpage where this product is listed.

I purchased the Animal Krackers bouncy seat (Fisher Price) from Toys R Us for my 10 week old twins. We also have an oceans wonder bouncy seat from my first child that we also use. Unlike the oceans wonder seat, the krackers seat’s legs extend out to the front and sides; on the oceans wonder seat, the legs stay under the seat. Almost immediately, my husband, myself, and my 2 year old toddler began tripping over the legs of the Krackers bouncy seat. Two nights ago, I walked into the legs again, this time breaking my toe. Since then, I’ve had to store it until we have time to return it.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price Newborn Rock’n Play Sleeper model # V9102 V9196 V9197
My son, [REDACTED] head was damaged from the Fisher Price Newborn Rock’n Play Sleeper. I bought this product from Target when I pregnant rather than getting a bassinet. [REDACTED] slept in this sleeper every night starting the day I brought him home from the hospital on August 10, 2011 until he was diagnosed with Occipital Plagiocephaly on January 10th 2012. The plastic surgeon prescribed my baby a $3,000 Orthotics helmet to reshape his head. He has to wear the helmet for 23 hours per day for 4-6 months. When I returned home from the doctor appointment on Jan. 10th I inspected the Fisher Price Sleeper more closely. I discovered it had a hard shell as well as no room for head movement to avoid flat spots. I was greatly saddened that I had not realized this earlier. I then became outraged when I started to search the internet to see if there were similar cases out there. I discovered multiple posts of babies with the same medical issues of Occipital Plagiocephaly as well as Torticollis from using the Fisher Price Newborn Rock’n Play Sleeper on the 1star reviews posted on Amazon.com. I then brought the sleeper to [REDACTED] 6 month well baby check up for his doctors opinion. [REDACTED] pediatrician agreed the product was not safe. As well as being hard and no room for head movement the design/angle of the sleeper is a sling, adding extra pressure on the head due to the weight of the baby pushing down on the hard support area. I regret buying and ever putting my son in this sleeper.

My 7-month old son, [REDACTED], was sitting in the Fisher-Price Infant-To-Toddler Rocker when he fell forward and sustained a minor head injury. The chair was placed flat on the linoleum bathroom floor, with my son restrained with the safety belt fastened. I was standing about 4 feet away, with my baby within sight. [REDACTED] dropped the toy he was playing with and leaned forward to reach for it. When he did this, the chair tipped far forward and he fell face-first onto the bathroom rug, with the chair laying on top of him. He cried for approximately 5 minutes and sustained a bump with many small abrasions to the left side of his forehead, about 1 inch above his left eyebrow. I took him to the doctors office within a few hours to have him checked out. He did not sustain a concussion. My child is well within the weight limit of the product. [REDACTED] weighs 24.6 lbs, and the weight limit of said product is stated to be 40 lbs. The product was being used properly, in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions.

Item - Fisher Price product - Infant to Toddler Rocker model # W 2583 I purchased this item for my granddaugher. Has a 3 point restraint listed in description. It only came with a hip restraint. It does not have a shoulder strap to keep baby from falling out. I was visiting my granddaughter during the holiday. Baby now at 9 months old with the seat in leaned back position, she leaned forward and nearly tipped completely over if I had not stopped it. My understanding according to NHTSA definition of 3 point restraint is to include shoulder strap. They told me their definition of it is two from hip area and one between legs. This item along with several other bouncer/recliner infant seats they make DO NOT have shoulder straps included. I was told by Fisher Price who took my complaint that the reason for no shoulder straps is because it is a strangling issue. If that is the case then why do carriers, high chairs and car seats have shoulder straps? I am very concerned about the safety of ANYONE using this product. We are returning the item for a full refund but this must be checked into please.

Fisher-Price Newborn-To-Toddler Rocker http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2011&e=detail&selcat=bgb&pid=52494 This Rocker creates Flat head for Babies. As there is no support at the head babies used lean a side and keep pressure on that side. My 4 months baby got Flat head and we ended up for consultation. It is a severe issue for all the babies and I advise parents not to buy this. If they want to buy a rocker see the rocker with head support like this. [REDACTED]
