The product, in the report: Bright Starts Disney Pixar Toy Story Pop ‘N Sit Portable Booster, Infant to Toddler
I purchased the Bright Starts Disney Pixar Toy Story Pop ‘N Sit Portable Booster, Infant to Toddler Seat for my 15 month old son . and within a few feedings like 3 days it already began to rip at the backing . which is not properly designed safely at all . it has two metal poles standing up for the back of the chair material to support the infants back while sitting. once it ripped through by the 4th day it was jabbing my infant on the side of his head behind his ear which would distract him and cause him to want to turn in his seat and bite or suck on the metal poles. Also the buckles and the straps to attach the infant seat to a regular adult chair for feeding the straps and buckles were designed with very cheap materials and was not very safe or effective so I would sit the feeding chair on the floor until the chair itself ripped like I just mentioned. also the buckles for keeping the infant secure in the seat itself were much too short so had to have the straps all the way loose for him to even be buckled at all. I returned the chair to Walmart for a refund. when I went I tried to let the customer service employee know that they needed to be recalled. and I tried explaining why but they did not seem to care or be interested. which is very concerning. Luckily I stopped using the seat and returned it before any actual injuries were to happen.

The product, in the report: Bright Starts Flamingo Vibes Vibrating Baby Bouncer
My 3 month old child was cut, causing bleeding to occur while using the bright starts baby bouncer. The bouncer was placed on the floor with the baby strapped in. I, the mother, was sitting on the floor in front of her and noticed the blood on the bouncer coming from behind her ankle. What caused the injury was her repeatedly kicking her legs which hit the bottom of the unpadded bouncer thinly covered metal wire.

The product, in the report: Bright Starts Playful Vibrating Bouncer, Model 13070, Manufacture Date Code O3243
Our 8-week-old was injured while sitting in the Bright Starts Playful Paradise Vibrating Bouncer, Model No 13070. This was the first time he was in the bouncer without a footed outfit. While barefoot and sitting properly in the bouncer, both of his heals were cut on the plastic edge of the vibrating control box. (We believe it was the edge of the box vs the edge of the seat pad.) He bled quite a bit on the seat pad, which was installed properly.

The product, in the report: Bright Starts Happy Flowers bouncer. It has an owl at the top and is pink with flowers all over it. It also has a semi circle bar with toys for baby to play with. The bouncer also vibrates.
I placed my baby in her bouncer and buckled her in. As I was folding laundry she literally fell through the bouncer. The bottom half had fell through and she was hanging by the strap in screaming. I immediately rushed to her before she could land on her face on the hardwood floor. The bouncer was properly assembled 3 months ago. My baby weighs 10.12 lbs. and is 4 months old.

The product, in the report: Kids II baby bouncer - Bright Starts Happy Tweets, Model Number: 60547-ES. The incident happened at the babysitter’s house and I am not sure where or when she purchased it.
A 10 month old infant was placed into a bouncer, face up, with the lap restraints in place to take a nap. He had two blankets wrapped around his feet and legs, tucked in around them. The bouncer was in a bedroom and was not supervised during the four hours he was in the bouncer. When checked on, he was found face up and still restrained. He had a blanket over his face and was blue.

The product, in the report: Baby Bouncer The model is 60135 and serial is 08T-0349403
The Bright Starts Playful Pinwheels Baby Bouncer is very dangerous. My daughter is 3 months old and just shy of 13lbs. She was buckled in, but when she leaned forward the entire bouncer flipped over and she ended up hitting her head on the hardwood flooring. The bouncer was actually on carpeted flooring next to the hardwood area and the rubber feet were on solid footing. I was able to recreate the bouncer flipping over by just pushing on the front of it with my hand. I’m surprised there isn’t a recall on these. We followed all warnings and guidelines and my daughter was strapped in tightly.

Hurt, no treatment Made Jul 28, 2016, sent to the company Aug 5, 2016, published by CPSC Aug 26, 2016
The product, in the report: It is a baby activity center, with a cloth seat hanging in the middle of a ring of toys, it has three yellow legs that have notches for adjusting the height of the platform underneath (where the baby’s feet go), which is also yellow. The top of the center that has all the toys attached to it is green, the seat is blue with ducks, frogs, turtles, and leaves printed on it. The attachments include a flower that spins, a three key light up piano that plays music, four places to hook additional toys two of which are yellow circles on posts, one looks like a looped vine, the other is just a circle on top of a post, attached to one hole is a mirror turtle. There is also a post that has a blue and yellow ball on top of a yellow ring, which are both on top of a flexible plastic accordian looking thing, this toy is the one with the issue. The idea is that you press down on the ball, compressing the accordian thing downward, and then when you let go the released upward pressure sends the ball flying up the pole. But when you let go it pinches you.
On multiple occasions, both my infant child and I have been pinched very very hard by one of the activity toys on her bright starts bounce bounce baby activity center. It is green and yellow, with a blue cloth seat cover, it has a yellow adjustable platform underneath for the child’s feet to stand on. It spins around 360 degrees, and the toys that are around the seat include a blue ball that slides up and down a post, underneath which is a ring and then an accordian like flexible plastic structure that can be compressed when pushed down, I guess the idea is that you push down on the ball on top and compress the accordian thing and then when you let go the ball jumps up the post from the release of the pressure on the bottom thing. Almost everytime I have tried doing this, from every angle or possible holding position, my fingers have gotten pinched between the parts on the balls way back up after trying to let go. I tried it many times to ensure it wasn’t just a fluke, or could only happen if you do it a certain way, almost every time it pinched my finger, and thus couldn’t possibly be considered safe by any standard. One incident brought blood it pinched so hard, and although it wasn’t difficult to get my finger free (you have to pull the ball back down) and I realize the cut was caused by my trying it over and over, if it had been my child that was pinched that hard it could have very well done much greater damage. I discovered this when my little one started crying hysterically while playing with the toy, she had jerked away from the pain and had already freed her little hand (it got her in the webbing between her thumb and pointer finger), I checked her out and noticed a purple rounded pinch mark on her hand. I immediately took her out of the bouncer and investigated the issue myself, and after determining it would most certainly do it to her again if left as it was, I cut the accordian like thing off and have had no further issues.

The product, in the report: Infant bouncy seat
This incident involves the Blossomy Blooms (7183-NU) bouncy chair made by Bright Starts. My 5 month old daughter was sitting in the Blossomy Blooms (7183-NU) bouncy chair and she was buckled in. She was able to get enough leverage from pushing against the bottom of the seat part to cause the bouncy chair to become top-heavy and fall over backwards, resulting in her hitting her head. Luckily, the isn’t a large amount of space between the top of the bouncy and the floor, and I had her on carpet. I’ve checked over the instructions to make sure we were within the recommended usage, and we are. The weight goes up to 25lbs, she is 20lbs. The instructions state to discontinue use once the baby can sit up unassisted. She cannot yet sit on her own. The instructions also state that the child can cause the bouncy chair to slide, but it doesn’t state that it can fall over backwards.

The product, in the report: “Bright Starts 3-in-1 Baby to Big Kid Rocker” Purchased at Babies r us and item # is 40B2939E. I have photos of the defective product and all tags/barcodes but the file upload is not allowing me to attach. I can email them however.
I purchased the Bright starts big kid rocker for my baby. It is a bouncer seat which claims you can use until they are 40 lbs. It has two straps which hook into a central hook. My child was strapped into the seat and when I went to remove her the small round piece which fits into the hook area was gone. Luckily I located it underneath of her but she or any baby could have easily eaten the small round piece. It came off the product completely and we have not even had the product for a month. It is a major choking hazard and any infant or toddler would put it in their mouth.

No one hurt Made Dec 31, 2012, sent to the company Jan 16, 2013, published by CPSC Jan 31, 2013
The product, in the report: Bright Starts Pretty in Pink Meadow Blossoms Bouncer. It’s a bouncy seat so the child can bounce themselves to keep them entertained.
My husband and I bought a bouncy seat for our five month old almost six month old daughter sometime at the end of September or beginning of October. We had a bouncy seat for our other kids but after nine years it broke with all the use. We ended up getting a Bright Starts Pretty in Pink Meadow Blossoms Bouncer. My daughter from the time we got the seat ends up hanging out of the seat by her legs. The seat sits up too high. It needs to sit back and down a little so the child isn’t able to sit forward. Also the restraints loosen up. I really think if the seat is going to sit up higher it should have a better restraint maybe one that comes up higher on the child or where you can put the arms in, like some strollers have. The company sent me an email saying to discontinue using the seat if my daughter can sit on her own. She can sit on her own now but she wasn’t able to when we started using the seat. A bouncy seat should be able to be used when then are more than a couple of months old. The bouncy seat is for them to bounce in. They can not bounce themselves at just a couple of months old. Our other bouncy was great. We had no problem like this at all and we able to use it for each child up to their first birth day. I really depend on this seat to get house work done. But when I turn around there she is hanging by her legs crying. I hope something is done before a little one is hurt.

The product, in the report: bright star Cotton Tale Bouncer
I purchase the Cotton Tale Bouncer made by Bright Star from Target. I went to place by two month old into the bouncer and when her weight was put onto it the back clip popped off which caused the back bar to come apart and the bouncer collapsed to the ground. I caught her just in time for her not to slam her head to the floor but she did pump it causing a red mark on the right side of her forehead. I contacted the company about this matter, they offered to replace the bouncer with a different kind but I believe this product is unsafe and needs to be redesign so the clips in the back can not come off without removing some sort of securing device .

The product, in the report: Bright Starts Comfort and Harmony Bouncer, Biscotti Baby
Our almost 5 1/2 month old was in the Bright Starts Comfort and Harmony Bouncer, which was placed on the bathroom floor near the shower, while I was in the shower. While I was in the shower I peeked out at him, as I always do, and found him still belted into the seat but flipped forward, twisted a bit, and hanging off the side of the bouncer. This happened a day or two earlier as well, same situation. We will not be putting him back in the bouncer.
Our son is not sitting up unassisted, nor is he 25 lbs as the seat warnings state. I feel this is a flaw with the safety belt design (belt sits too low to keep an older, bigger baby secure) or overall design of the seat (inclines too far forward to be safe for an older, wiggly baby, therefore being propelled forward by their movements).
