The product, in the report: Smart Steps Trend EZ Bouncer color- Ziggy
The product is a baby bouncer chair. I had been using the chair for a few weeks. One day I went to buckle my child in, and the buckle came off in my hand, the strap that holds the buckle in came free. It is supposed to be sewn together, it is not customer adjustable. No injury since I noticed this as I was strapping my child in, so I noticed the issue before it was a real problem. However, if the failure had occurred while the child was in the chair, the restraint could come loose and the child could fall out of the chair. I did return the bouncer to Amazon and got a replacement.

Seen by a doctor or nurse Made Feb 22, 2016, sent to the company Mar 1, 2016, published by CPSC Mar 15, 2016
The product, in the report: I recently received a baby bouncer manufactured by baby trends. Model number BC20948, name Trend EZ Bouncer, mfg date 7/13/2014, lot and qty no. 01471559. This model is blue with lambs attached.
My 3 months old son was strapped in to the Baby Trends, Trends EZ Bouncer. This bouncer comes equipped with both vibration and sound features, both features were in use at the time of the incident. He was in the bouncer for around 45 minutes, and during this time I was folding laundry and began preparing dinner. He began to cry and once I placed dinner in the oven I removed him from the bouncer, he stopped crying once in my arms and I laid him down for a nap. Thats when I noticed blood on his foot. I began looking and found marks on both legs near his ankles. I then glanced over at the bouncer and seen blood around the bottom edge. My husband then decided to test the bouncer by turning it on and seeing how hot it was getting. After about 5 minutes the box and bottom edge of the bouncer began warming up. My son has 2 blistered areas on the back of each leg. We have seeked medical attention for the injuries and they were documented. I also have photo proof and the bouncer itself.
