The product, in the report: Gray Stokke clikk

Stokke Clikk high chair broke while my baby was in it. He is 15 months old, 25lbs 12oz. He was pushing against the foot rest with his feet and leaning back. This provided sufficient force to pull the mounting screws out of the seat, stripping the internal plastic threading. The seat fully detached from the base and legs. Luckily he h fell back into a plastic tote with clothes and not all the way down onto the floor. He only suffered a minor bump to the head but it could have been much worse.

The product, in the report: Product Serial Number: 135AA0105861 - Purchase Date: 02/07/2022 Stokke Clikk High Chair cloud grey

We are reporting a serious safety incident involving a Stokke Clikk high chair. On April 27, 2026, our two year old child age 2 years 2 months and approximately 36 lbs fell from the high chair onto the floor while seated in it.

The product being used was a Stokke high chair and it was being used as intended during mealtime. Our child was properly seated and strapped into the chair at the time of the incident.

During use, the seat itself detached from the chair unexpectedly. Our child fell to the floor while still strapped into the seat and landed on her face. This indicates a structural failure of the product during normal use.

Fortunately our child does not appear to be injured at this time, however the fall posed a significant risk of serious injury including potential head injury or broken bones given the height of the chair and the manner of the fall.

This incident raised immediate concerns about the safety and reliability of the product which is why we are reporting it.

The product, in the report: STOKKE CLIKK gray high chair

Upon putting my infant (6.5 months old) into the STOKKE CLIKK high chair, the sewing on the buckel came completely undone rendering the high chair completely unsafe. There is no way to restrain a child without this piece and you cannot safely use this high chair without properly restraining the child.

I bought a stokke clikk chair in 2021, for my first daughter who is 1 year 6 months old and last Monday she fell from the chair without even moving, we went to the hospital because it was a big fall but fortunately it didn’t get any worse, Looking at this page I realize that the chair has a manufacturing defect, I already put my complaint on the page the same Monday and they still have not answered me, I am really very upset since it could cause a serious accident, it is not fair that the company Do not answer after 4 days and unless it is something that is their responsibility for their error /have item number 552104 and within the following serial number range 135AA0057070 – 135AA0057908 are included in this recall.

The baby seat attachment on our Trip Trapp fell out and almost injured our son while in this high chair. The baby seat attachment has a latch to keep it connected to the chair but is poorly designed - the latch is flimsy and comes loose easily.

The product, in the report: Tripp Trapp is an adjustable wooden high chair

My 3 year old son slipped off his Stokke Tripp Trapp chair in the course of descending the chair. He is healthy and well coordinated but I am deeply concerned about the safety of this chair and urge for an investigation as to the frequency of slip/fall injuries among children. My son cut his chin and also had cuts inside his mouth from the fall and had to go to the emergency room.

The product, in the report: High chair that transitions into an older child or adult’s chair. Used by pulling up to the table rather than having its own tray like traditional high chairs.

Baby was seated in Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair with infant seat attached (a plastic backplate and belly/crotch bar) and fabric set that covers the back and seat. Chair was pulled up to table, as designed. Baby was somehow able to push off table edge and flip the chair over backwards. The momentum and weight of the chair - plus the baby - quickly pulled the chair past equilibrium, and smashed baby’s head into the wall behind - and baby’s back into the infant seat’s back piece (with fabric cover in use) - which gave baby a large, instantly visible contusion on his back.

Made Dec 8, 2012, sent to the company Dec 28, 2012, published by CPSC Jan 22, 2013

The product, in the report: high chair The manufacturer is Stokke, the model is Tripp Trapp. The S/N is: 31817899

My child was sitting in a Stokke baby high chair eating, when he leaned forward and the high chair tipped over and he fell onto his face and had to be taken to the hospital. I’ve reported the incident to the manufacturer, but they don’t seem to think it’s an issue. I am an engineer and I can now see that the design has a flaw. The fulcrum is not far enough forward for robust usage, and can be easily avoided by installation of a very small foot extender. The company already ships foot extenders for the rear, since this apparently occurred backwards. They can just ship the same feet extenders forward as well.
