The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Skip hop convertible high chair

My 18 month old was strapped into the high chair with the tray all the way clicked in. I pushed the high chair back slightly with my son in it to be able to get him out of the chair. The back year leg then fell off causing the chair to fall backwards with my son in it. I was able to catch his head before it hit the ground. This was today and I have not seen any major injury arise as of now. After examining the chair the leg detached where the plastic meets the leg. I took pictures for record.

The detachable tray falls off all the time making it possible for my son to reach things that were previously out of his reach, or raise his legs to the edge of our table and push backwards. When I was searching if other people had this problem I saw the chair was actually recalled for another reason so I have stopped using it altogether.
