The product, in the report: High chair

Caller is reporting that the high chair tray developed mold, she noticed this after her son started getting ill. She stated that her 11 month old child started developing diarrhea and fever for about 5 weeks ago. She stated that has soon as he stopped using the highchair his symptoms dissipated.

Caller stated that the child received medical attention from his physician but he recovered when she stopped using it. (8/2016) The manufacturer was contacted and she was informed that a replacement would be sent out, however, there was no guarantee that this incident would not re-occurred.

Caller stated that this design flaw is a health hazard because consumers are unable to clean the tray because of the way it is built and water or liquids get trapped in.
