The product, in the report: Mockingbird High Chair - date of manufacture 2025-03-20
We were using the Mockingbird High Chair with our 6.5 month old who has been eating solids for a couple weeks now. The buckle of the safety harness is defective and posed a life-threatening scenario when our baby started choking and we could not undo the buckle to take him out of the Mockingbird High Chair. The buckle has two areas that you squeeze at the same time to release the harness, but one of the two buttons you squeeze is stuck. It only releases with extreme pressure appliedand even then it is not consistently opening.

The product, in the report: Mockingbird Highchair in white
We were using a mockingbird highchair and my sons legs became trapped due to the fixed leg holes. Theres no emergency release so when he started choking and I realized he could not be removed from the chair the entire chair needed to be tipped to preform back blows in an emergency situation. There is zero emergency release for the portion of the chair that wraps around their legs. A child should never become trapped in a chair thats meant to be safe for eating. The chair was being used correctly he was within the weight limit and all proper instruction was maintained. Thankfully no injuries were sustained.

The product, in the report: Mockingbird High Chair
My son has repeatedly popped open the buckle on this highchair when he leans back in the highchair and the buckle pushes against a protrusion on the bottom of the tray. This has put him at risk multiple time of being able to fall out of the highchair. This is in addition to the harness pinching his back and leaving marks.

The product, in the report: Mockingbird 2 in 1 high chair Ivory color with wood
I have been using the mockingbird high chair for 6 months and my child continues to unbuckle herself when she arches her back. It is now a daily occurrence as she has gotten older - leading me to file a complaint. She presses her belly against the high chair tray which is enough force to engage the e buckle button. I pre-purchased this high chair sometime in December 2023 and I received the high chair in January/February 2024. My child turned 6 months in March 2024 which is when I opened up the box and started using the chair.

No one hurt Made Apr 11, 2024, sent to the company Apr 16, 2024, published by CPSC Apr 30, 2024
The product, in the report: Mockingbird high chair
Mockingbird high chair straps release inadvertently. Infant has triggered the button on the strap buckle to release the restraint straps on multiple occasions by either reaching forward or arching his back (not with hands). The button on the front of the buckle is making contact with the rail that protrudes on the underside of the removable tray, depressing the button and releasing the straps from the buckle. The child is not attempting to release the straps. The issue has occurred with the tray in multiple different positions. This issue appears to be identical to that reported by another consumer in Report Number [REDACTED].
