Weight limit is 50 lbs, she is 30lbs. Product was being used appropriately. She was just sitting in it, playing with toys. Amazingly no injuries, since the chair literally snapped off the base and fell to the ground with her in it.

The product, in the report: Ingenuity trio 3-in-1 high chair

The first time the problem occurred the high chair was being used for an almost 1-year-old. The safety straps were used to secure the child and the tray was attached. I noticed that the safety straps were about to tear and immediately took the child out of the seat. The straps had not been under a high level of stress, but seemed to be disintegrating. Even the part of the strap that looked completely fine ripped when I applied pressure. There were no injuries because I noticed the problem before the straps broke. Every one of the safety straps have broken in the same way since that time. In fact, straps that had not even been used tore as well. I am uneasy about the quality of material used for the straps.

The product, in the report: Highchair with tray

We had recently purchased Ingenuity SmartClean Trio 3-in-1 High Chair for our 6 month old. Upon assembly, one of the shoulder straps attached to the backrest immediately fell out. This is the strap that keeps your child from falling out of the chair. There are numerous warning decals on the chair that state children have fallen out and fractured their skulls if not secured properly. We found the lack of quality control extremely poor. This is in reference to the nylon shoulder strap, and the plastic piece that was supposed to be secured to it, keeping it attached to the chair itself. Thank god we noticed this before putting our 6 month old in the chair. Upon calling their customer service at 1-800-230-8190, we were told that the back straps are on a 2-month backorder!!! VERY CONCERNING. We are submitting this report out of grave concern that other consumers may be unaware of the potential

The product, in the report: Trio 3-IN-1 Deluxe High Chair. It incorporates a full size high chair, booster seat, and toddler chair.

Our seven-month-old daughter had an incident where her toes were crushed. Her big toe nail was bent and her toes looked swollen and red.

This happened because the KidsII high chair has a design flaw in the mechanism of the tray attachment. When attempting to move the tray forward or backward, there is a high potential for an infants’ feet to get jammed in the mechanism if the infant raises her feet. Under normal operation, and the infant raises her feet, there is a high chance they will be crushed in the mechanism of the tray when “unlocking” the tray for movement forward or backward. If you turn the tray over, you can easily see what I mean. Also, when reading through the safety and warning labels, it says nowhere that there is the potential for crushed limbs when moving the tray.

Tray unlock mechanism requires squeezing a handle into the tray. Infant’s feet and toes became trapped between this mechanism while attempting to remove the tray while infant was in the high chair. The mechanism also has unnecessarily sharp plastic edges, which severely bruised infant’s toes.

The product, in the report: Ingenuity 3 in 1 high chair avondale

I purchased the Ingenuity 3 in 1 high Chair avondale at Wal-Mart just after christmas. Tonight 2/21/2016 my son got hurt using this product. The clasp on the buckle broke and the tray which is not well made and doesn’t stay in place very well popped off. My aon whom is 6 months old fell out of the chair. Thankfully he was not seriously injured but he did sustain a pretty bad contusiin to his face from the fall. I am very angry and disappointed as a consumer and will not be putting my son back in this high chair. I have left a message for kids2 to call me back as I am concerned for the safety of other children.

The product, in the report: High Chair

My child has been using the Ingenuity 3 in one highchair for a few months. When the tray mechanism is used to release the tray from the seat, it creates a small space underneath- Perfect for little fingers and toes. Today is the second time my daughter has had her foot resting in this space, and the second time her toe got caught. The first time was a minor injury. This time it cut her toe and it is now bruised and swollen.

I could easily see how a child could end up having a broken toe due to this issue

The product, in the report: Ingenuity™ Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe High Chair™ in Sahara Burst™

I bought the Ingenuity™ Trio 3-in-1 Deluxe High Chair™ in Sahara Burst™ from Buy Buy Baby. I put my baby in the seat to feed him. At the end of his meal, I went to release the tray from the front release and my son started screaming in agony. I had no idea what was happening as I could not see the underside of the tray. I was pulling the tray out to grab my baby out of his seat and realized that somehow his foot was attached!! I let go of everything(tray release) and the tray dropped to the floor and I then saw his toe. His to was pinched so hard, it cut the underside of his toe and turned the top purple. My son will no longer be using this seat. I have contacted the company with my complaint.

The product, in the report: Ingenuity 3 in 1 Deluxe Highchair, model number 60314

The product involved is the Ingenuity Trio 3 in 1 Deluxe Highchair (model number 60314). There is a handle/lever at the front of the tray that you push in and it releases the tray from the highchair. My daughter likes to kick her feet and sometime rests them on the underside of the highchairs tray. The problem is that when she does this sometimes she ends up resting her foot on the parts that operate the release of the tray because they are exposed and her toes get pinched. By the time you realize it, she has already been hurt. We are learning to make sure her toes/feet are not resting on this part, but really it should be covered up so that this cannot happen in the first place. I am worried that this could break a child’s toes. I have never filed one of these reports before, should I also send a note to the manufacturer?

The product, in the report: Ingenuity Chair top high chair - Shiloh Manufactured for Kids II Model 60099_CTHC_NU_052112r1 Reg. No. 08T-0349403 Another number on a tag is O0703

My baby is 8 months old. When he was about 5 months old I noticed cuts on the back of his legs near his ankles. He moves his legs around a lot so I thought he just cutting himself on his toenails. This lasted a couple months. They then went went away for about a month and I figured that was because he was not kicking his legs as much. I noticed the cuts started to appear again. He always had it on the back of both legs, not just one leg. A couple weeks ago I picked him up out of his high chair, he was happy I was picking him up, then he kicked his legs back, and started screaming. That’s when I realized the high chair was actually cutting his legs! It a plastic part that is so sharp on the bottom. Before the next feeding I had my husband cushion that piece so it could no longer cut him. It appears not only is he cutting himself when I pick him up, but also when he is just sitting in it and kicking his legs around. After thinking about it, I realized the only reason it went away for about a month was because it was really cold and I always had socks on him. I called the company - Ingenuity - a couple weeks ago to report the problem. They sent me a replacement high chair. I just received that chair in the mail today, and it has the same sharp plastic edge on it. I do not feel safe using this high chair.
