The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jan 15, 2015, sent to the company Jan 27, 2015, published by CPSC Feb 17, 2015

The product, in the report: I’Coo Pharo High Chair Materials: European Beech Wood Dimensions: 31” H x 19” W x 22” D Seat Weight: 15 lbs Tested Weight Capacity: 100 lbs Country of Origin: China Suggested Age Range: 6 Months - 10 Years

17 month old son climbed into his I’coo Pharo high chair on his own. Somehow he managed to slide the seat of the high chair backwards, out from underneath his bottom. Because he had put himself into the chair, both of his legs were sticking through one side, and when the seat pushed out from underneath him, he slid down, catching one arm and his neck on the “bar” that goes across the high chair. He was STUCK and we didn’t think we could get him out without taking apart the chair. While my husband looked for an allen wrench to loosen the screws, I was able to push him back up under the “bar” and out of the chair. He had red marks on his back where it pressed against the misplaced seat. The injuries could have been more severe had he not been able to cry out for help or had he slid completely through and fallen to the ground.
