Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

    The product, in the report: Fisher Price space saver high chair

    The high chair is designed horribly, the release latches are the perfect size for little fingers to get stuck. Every time my daughter (10 months) is in the high chair she screams in pain because her fingers are stuck. This is a huge finger amputation hazards. Reading the reviews on amazon this is happening to a lot of people. Must be recalled before babies lose a finger. It took a few times to figure out why she was screaming, in the rush to get her up you must pull in the release latched, adding more injury to the finger.

    The product, in the report: Fisher Price Home & Away 3-in-1 High Chair; Tan color; Animal print;

    My 16-month-old infant was sitting in her Fisher-Price Home & Away 3-in-1 High Chair when it suddenly fell apart. She went crashing to the ground. Thankfully, she was strapped into her seat which did not break. The high chair seems to have broken at the legs. It was scary!

    I have a photo of the broken high chair.

    The product, in the report: Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair Tan Circles purchased from Babies R Us.

    I use the Fisher Price space saver high chair to feet my son. He kicks his legs and rests his feet on the underside of the tray. He started having mysterious injuries to his toes. Skin was missing. We eventually figured out that his toes were getting skinned from the underside of the high chair tray. There are sharp edges of plastic and exposed heads of screws. I had to try and cover the sharp edges with duct tape to prevent further injury, but this makes the front latch unusable to use for removal of the tray.

    The product, in the report: Fisher-Price Home & Away 3-in-1 High Chair - Animal Krackers Model V9463

    We bought Fisher-Price High Chair for our daughter (6 months old then) about 8 months ago. The Model number is V9463. Recently it has developed big crack on the plastic seat support on the leg. This could have led to my child failing down if the plastic support complete breaks off the leg. When I looked up the reviews for this product today, I see lots of people having the same issue. Its been reported multiple time on ToysRus website http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11363411

    I have a picture too of the crack.

    The product, in the report: Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair

    Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair

    My 11 month old son managed to get his arm stuck between the base of the high chair and the adjustable bar that holds the tray. His arm was twisted so that it was pinned almost behind his back at a very awkward angle. It took two adults to remove him in a way that would not cause further injury. We had to remove the tray, re-adjust the bar, and very carefully pull his arm out at the same time we pulled his entire body out of the chair. We could not remove his arm with him still sitting because of the angle at which he was stuck. Once removed he immediately calmed down and does not appear to have any visible lasting injuries. If he had thrashed more he could have caused himself more serious injuries. He was screaming and obviously in pain while stuck. We made a report with Fisher-Price the same day (8-19-11) and will be shipping the chair back to them for inspection. They volunteered that no other accidents with this chair have been reported to them. However, I found an almost identical report on this website from this past April. Perhaps it was never filed with Fisher Price?

    The product, in the report: Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chair. Tan.

    The shoulder straps on my SpaceSaver High Chair have become a choking hazard. The buckle through which the length of the shoulder straps adjust is right by his face, so the extra four inches of length is hanging there for him to chew on. There is no way to move it or fasten it to prevent him from chewing on it, and I am concerned that he could push too much of it into his mouth and get it stuck in his throat. It has not yet gotten stuck, but he has gagged on it. The strap has a thickened end on it to prevent it from sliding through the buckle, so it’s impossible to reverse the strap and have the extra against his body to make it less accessible. The thickened end of the strap could easily get stuck in his throat.
