No one hurt Made Aug 4, 2013, sent to the company Aug 12, 2013, published by CPSC Aug 26, 2013
The product, in the report: Classic comfort reclining wood high chair. Dark brown. Beige tray. Elephant on seat cover.
I received a carters brand high chair produced by summers infant in august 2010. The high chair is the classic comfort reclining wood highchair. Model 80053 date code 10032910. The highchair was put together according to manufacturers directions. As the chair was used and moved around it has weakend and screws have come out and gotten lost. At first I didnt reliaze the screws were coming out until I picked up the chair and the chair seat came apart from the base and legs. I have stopped useing itbefore my child recieved any injury. I have been incontact with the company both by email and phone. The first contact resulted in them telling me that I need to go to a hardware store to get the missing screws. the second contact they told me they have discontiuned this chair and they dont carry any hardware replacement kits and they might be able to put one together and I have yet to receive it. I dont belive it said anywhere in the instructions that the screws should be contiunelly tightened. I saw on your website that graco had a recall on their wooden high chairs for the same problem.

The product, in the report: High chair. Carter’s reclining wood high chair- safari friends
We bought the Carter’s reclining wood high chair- safari friends. We haven’t even been using it for a year yet and already all the screws holding the legs together were loose, including one that had come completely out, causing the high chair to collapse to the ground with my child in it. She sustained a large head injury due to the fact that her head slammed against the back of the high chair and the ground when it fell.
