Hurt, no treatment Made Oct 9, 2022, sent to the company Oct 12, 2022, published by CPSC Oct 26, 2022
The product, in the report: Adjustable High Chair with 6 different height choices. Back of chair reclines and adjusts as well. Gray and teal leaf pattern on cloth cover.
Baby Trend Model HC37D55B Aspen ELX HighchairThe high chair tray doesn’t lock in place although it appears it is. On 4 occasions it came off or unhooked on 1 side. We look underneath the tray, listen for the mechanism to latch, and gently wiggle to ensure its engaged. Even after careful inspection it still comes undone. Our 6 month old almost fell out onto our tiled floor. Another time the left side was attached but the right was hanging freely. She wasnt climbing or wiggling. The last time it happened she was sitting still in her chair playing with [REDACTED] when the tray slammed to the ground unexpectedly cutting her thigh and ankle. The date below is approx. The 1st time this happened. September 2022 was the play dough incident.

No one hurt Made May 4, 2019, sent to the company May 13, 2019, published by CPSC May 28, 2019
The product, in the report: Grey, black and white high chair
The incident occurred with a “Baby Trends” A La mode gear snap 5-in-1 high chair. My son was riding around in his walker and bumped into the high chair which was against the wall in the kitchen. The high chairs wheels moved causing the high chair to slip and fall on him, hitting his head. The chair folds up for storage, however if you store it in a corner, which I imagine most people would, it is not stable and can fall and hit anything below it.

The product, in the report: Baby Trend High Chair
Baby Trend Tempo High Chair Model HC34A43A Date of MFG 04/05/2016 GP Lot & Qty 32682372
I am unable to remove the tray from the high chair trapping my child in the chair. To get it off, if I can, I have to manually move the mechanisms on the bottom of the tray. Otherwise I have to pull my child out the top of the chair causing bruising and abrasions to her thighs.
Baby Trend is aware of the problem and does not have trays to replace it with. I received this as a gift in February.

No one hurt Made Dec 2, 2013, sent to the company Dec 11, 2013, published by CPSC Dec 26, 2013
The product, in the report: Baby trend high chair, style: Chrissy, about 3.5 ft tall and approx 2 ft wide and 1 ft deep when folded.
My daughters high chair was fine as an infant, but now that she has turned one and is more fidgety her arm gets caught between the chair and leg. There have been several occasions where I have had to very carefully take her arm out of this position. If I were not there with her she could have broken bones trying to get herself loose.

First aid Made Jan 13, 2013, sent to the company Jan 24, 2013, published by CPSC Feb 7, 2013
The product, in the report: Baby Trend High Chair brown and orange seat cover. Adjustable up-down seat also reclining. Model # 8665 MFG Date 060808HH Lot & Q TY NO. 03562073
I have a baby trend High chair. My son was sitting in it when he stuck his finger in a small hole where the chair cover is threaded through to keep the chair cover on. Once his finger was in there it cut the circulation off and his finger swelled and we couldn’t get it out. I used butter to lube his finger and forced it out of the chair. His finger is skinned off enough to bleed and pus. My baby was screaming for at least 30mins. I was afraid I had the High Chair Cover on wrong so that’s how he got his finger in there but I double checked and it is on right. The hole is a small hole on the bottom of the seat where baby sits toward the back of the bottom of the seat.

On 5/25/2012 @ approx. 7pm. I was feeding my 7 month old son in the baby trend coral reef high chair. I was about done feeding him and started cleaning him up and wiping down the high chair. I went to put the dishes in the sink and to trow away the baby wipes I was using to clean him up away. When I suddenly heard a crack and the back part dropped down and my son did a complete summersault and landed face first on to the floor. Thankful that he did not suffer from any broken bones, cuts or scrapes and is doing fine. He cried for a few minutes and after me checking his head and neck even every limb, finger, joint and bone and his skin he was ok. I monitored him closely for the remainder of the night. Immediately after calming my baby and checking him over I immediately called baby trend. I was upset and outraged but gave a report of the incident and the product. one of the representatives gave me her email address which is cs12@babytrend.com to submit pictures for their review. I find baby trend to be negligent and liable for this incident. On the product description is states holds up to 40lbs and my son is not even 20lbs. I am very upset and in upoar about this. I am very dissatisfied with this product. I will never buy baby trend again! My son suffered injuries from baby trend for being liable for this product they put on the shelves of the retail store I purchased this from.
