  1. Emergency room

Made Aug 17, 2026, sent to the company Aug 20, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 4, 2026

The product, in the report: Babyjoy 6-in-1 Convertible Wooden High Chair

Product Name: Babyjoy 6-in-1 Convertible Wooden High Chair Manufacturer/Importer: Goplus Corp. / Costway Model Number: B0017-6 (Color: Grey) Retailer: Amazon Description of Incident: I am writing to report a severe safety defect regarding the Babyjoy 6-in-1 high chair (Model B0017-6). While my infant child was seated in the chair, the feeding tray unexpectedly unlatched itself on its own. Because the tray completely disengaged, my baby fell forward out of the high chair and impacted the floor. Injuries Sustained: My baby sustained a significant head injury, resulting in a large “goose egg” hematoma on her forehead. We had to take her to the Emergency Room for medical evaluation, and we are currently under medical instructions to closely monitor her for complications from the head trauma. Request for Action: While Goplus/Costway recently recalled other 6-in-1 Babyjoy models (such as BB5693GR) for tray disengagement and fall hazards, model B0017-6 was not included in that notice. However, my chair experienced the exact same catastrophic mechanical failure. I request that the CPSC urgently investigate Model B0017-6 to prevent other infants from being severely injured or killed.
