Ingenuity InLighten Baby Swing, 5-Speed, Swivel Infant Seat, Nature Sounds, Lights - Pink, Nally I placed my daughter into the baby swing for a few minutes. She was strapped in her harness. Upon hearing her cry I found her almost upside down, and the inner sole of the lining of this swing snapped/collapsed apart somehow and her back was laying on the cross bar with her eyes swollen shut, pale skin, and crying.
This lead to her possibly losing some oxygen due to the puffiness of her eyes being swollen shut. She also had a small scratch on her eye. I got her out of the swing and called EMS right away to get her evaluated. I notified Kids 2 consumer services on Monday about the incident on 12/8/25 as they were closed over the weekend.

My baby was swinging in the ingenuity baby swing on a level one. After five minutes the swing began to swing at an extremely fast speed with baby still inside. The baby could’ve easily been thrown out of the swing at the speed it went to.

My grandson, age 4 months was strapped into the ingenuity baby swing. He began to cry a few moments later and he was flipped out the back of swing and standing in his head. He cried for probably a half hour, head is red, and we are observing him per the pediatrician to see if he needs seen by medical personnel.

My 3 month old baby was swinging and kicking her legs, crying for about 15 mins before I got her out. She was strapped in as per the instructions, and the strap had rubbed her leg enough to cause severe abrasions. I took her to her doctor and he thought she had been burned! Her doctor said that in 25+ years of practice, he had never seen such a severe injury from swing straps. He made a report in her chart and asked me to follow up with the company that manufactures the swing. I saw no recalls on the KidsII website regarding this swing, nor did I find an incident report page.

Baby swing leans badly to point child almost falls out/ Back leg lifts when swinging. Child is strapped in and is within weight limits. locking mechanism of seat into swing doesn’t always lock.

My 1 week old infant was sitting and buckled in the baby swing. He began to cry incessantly, when I went to see what was the matter I noticed the middle leg buckle stained with blood. Although the seat was buckled properly the edge of the velcro was rubbing his leg. Which caused the cut on the inside of his right thigh.

The item in question is “Ingenuity ConvertMe Swing-2-Seat - Sahara Burst”. I purchased my item from a Target store. The button to unlock the straps fell off in my hand. It is the perfect size (similar to a quarter) for a baby choking hazard. There are multiple reviews on the Target site that state that this same issue has happened to them, so I do not believe it was a fluke. Please consider a recall on this item.

The product, in the report: Bright Starts Cradle and Sway swing in Pembrook style; blue and grey with a turtle attached to the straps and a turtle mobile attached. Purchased at Target.
We received the Bright Starts Ingenuity Cradle and Sway swing in Pembrook style for a shower gift. My five month old son was napping in the swing on October 8th. When I went to get him up from his nap, he was dangling upside down from the side of the swing. The plastic piece that holds the left shoulder strap to the harness had snapped off, and his body had shifted to the left. His entire upper body was dangling off the side of the swing, and his legs were (luckily) still stuck part way in the leg straps.
I called the company to complain and was told that this has ‘never happened before,’ and won’t happen again, so I have no reason to worry. However, I am concerned that a five month old can so easily break the safety harness on this swing.
