    i own regrettably own this cradle swing from fisher price which i bought for my niece a few years back for her to use whenever my brother would come and visit, this cradle was without a doubt not used more then 10 different occasions and was well stored after my niece stopped using as she grew, my daughter was born on the 25th of June of this year and we started using this cradle when she turn about 4 months old, before using it i checked it completely, i bought a new fabric pad and it was working fine until the day the chair in which the baby lays fell off the frame as my daughter napped in it, thank god my wife and i were right there the second it happened and immediately responded, we immediately took my 6 month old daughter to the ER just to make sure she didn’t have any injuries and thank god besides the bruises to her little face and forehead she was fine but it was an extremely awful experience we just went through, we will never use this product again.

I looked over and saw he was able to lift the “pillow” that is attached on the top, over his entire face. He was screaming trying to get it off, but unable. I had to grab it off him. It is sewn onto the swing by only one side of the pillow. I will have to cut the strap to permanently remove the pillow from his swing.

    This swing was plugged in for about 2 hours and not turned on or being used at time of incident. We smelled burning plastic in our home so searched to find this swing smoking and hot to the touch. The top part with the buttons and all electric wires pig the swing were very hot and the smoke was grey.

I got my daughter out and upon looking closer the desk broke where it was held together by a weld on both sides of the frame.

    The product, in the report: Fisher-Price pink and white swing plush padding on seat with small elephants on the mobile. Model on padding of seat is CMR45.

    My daughter is put in this swing when she is crabby or tired. She is always buckled in for safety reasons and the swing turned on low speed for rocking to keep her content. While my daughter was strapped in the seat of the swing it was turned on low speed and while she was rocking in the swing the seat of the swing snapped off the base of the swing which resulted in my daughter landing face first on the hardwood floor still strapped in the seat which was now on top of her. As a result of your product she has sustained a las oration on the top of her head where she hit on the legs of the swing when the seat snapped off the base of the swing. The swing model is CMR45. I also have pictures of the base, the bottom of the seat, and my daughters head for proof of this incident. Their was no bolt that came lose from the base to cause this issue the seat just literally snapped off the base and from my research into the recall notice my model swing that I bought was not part of any recall. This is a very serious situation and can become very dangerous for many children using this product.

    First and foremost, when I purchased the Fisher Price Coral Floral Cradle ‘N Swing about 6 months ago, it did not come with any safety restraint. I have been using this swing for a few months now on a daily basis and have noticed that the swing itself wouldn’t function most times. Well, tonight, while my 2 1/2 month old niece was laying in the swing, it decides to begin swinging BUT improperly to the point of literally throwing her out of the swing and onto the carpeted floors which was witnessed by four individuals. She landed on her head and face leaving a moderate scratch and carpet burn on her right cheek/temple area. It has since become inflamed and reddening. She did cry instantly from the fall and we are not sure if she will need medical assistance as of yet. I have taken pictures of her face and also a video of the swing functioning which shows that it swings higher on the left hand side which would answer the question as to why this baby fell from a swing manufactured by Fisher Price. We are not happy about this situation and hope that it can be resolved in a timely professional manner. Thank you for your time!

    7 m/o boy who was admitted to hospital on Thursday, 10/22/15, after his mother found him slumped over in his swing at 2am, hanging by his left leg. He was noted to have a pressure/tourniquet injury to his left leg. He also had multiple scratches to his abdomen and his left flank, as well as a scratch over his left eyebrow and an abrasion with missing hair on his right temple.

    Bloodwork showed significant muscle breakdown; child has a CPK of 17, 656 (high is normal 170). Child could have lost his leg. Required 5 days of hospitalization

    The product, in the report: Fisher Price Luv U Zoo Swing, product number V1179. It has an animal/jungle theme with a mirror and rotating plastic animals above the baby’s head.

    On January 28, 2015, I placed my 7 month old baby in her Luv U Zoo Cradle & Swing, product V1179, after feeding her. I set the swing on the 2nd speed setting as usual, with the music, and the rotating animal toys. I went around the corner for a couple of minutes when I heard her start to get a little cranky, and then she began to cry. This was very unusual for her because usually the swing soothes her and makes her happy and quiet. I walked back around the corner to see what was wrong and I saw the swing was not swinging, yet it was still on and making a clicking noise as if it was still rocking back and forth. I called my husband in to take a look at it since it wasn’t working. When my husband came into the room, he gasped and screamed “Turn off! Turn off now!!!!”. He ran over and unplugged the swing from the wall. From his viewpoint coming into the room, he could see smoke rising from the top of the swing by the control panel on top. I immediately got my baby out of it. He told me he saw the smoke, and told me to smell it. I leaned closer and indeed smelled a burning smell coming from the top of it. I was absolutely horrified that my baby just moments before was locked into an electric fire producing death trap. Then, I was absolutely furious. What if my baby [REDACTED] hadn’t started to cry because the swing had stopped. My heart grew weak thinking about that prospect. I wondered how could a known and trusted toy maker like Fisher Price let such a dangerous death trap be sold to the public. My baby is just a little over 7 months old, and was just weighed by the Florida Department of Health yesterday. She is officially only almost 15 pounds. I believe the scale measured exactly14.98 pounds, which is well below the weight maximum of 25 pounds. We never left her in there for too long, as everything is only good for her in small doses, and for a limited time until she wants something new. The swing was set up on a level floor, with it’s own stationary place. We never moved it around, or tampered with it. It was just another seemingly normal day that almost turned into a nightmare. I was given this swing as a gift by my baby’s grandparents. They immediately wanted to get me another swing. As much as my baby loved that swing, I didn’t want a replacement. I simply don’t trust this product any more to place my child’s precious little life on the line for a little entertainment. There should be a mechanism in place that would automatically shut the swing off if it malfunctions in any way before it gets to the point of overheating, smoking, or creating a life endangering fire.

    I was using the Fisher Price Little Snugabunny Cradle and Swing when this happened.

    At the time I had set my baby down, turned the swing on, and walked away to do some chores. I was only gone for a few minutes when I came back and saw that my baby had gotten the head support/pillow (which is not removable) turned. It was folded up under his head and his face was pressed into the fold. He was turning back and forth to get his face out of the fold.

    He was OK but I am very concerned that due to the way the head “pillow” is attached to the swing that a baby could get it trapped/folded, get their face in it, have their breathing restricted, and die.

    I was putting my 6-month-old baby (~15 pounds) in the swing. The swing seat tipped and baby would have fallen out and been dangling by the straps. Thankfully I was right there to catch her. On inspection, there’s a plastic holder the the seat clips into. The plastic holder is attached to a metal bar that swings back and forth. There are two metal attachments between the plastic holder and the metal bar. One of the attachments had broken, allowing the seat to completely tip sideways.

    This product is designed to hold and infant and swing him. It is VERY unstable on the legs that support the pod that holds the child. To add to the problems, the mobile on this device (the motor that turns it around) breaks very quickly and makes a loud clicking noise when it rotates. On one occasion it appeared to have a plastic burning smell coming from it. We returned this item to Babies R Us and instead of buying another one and hoping we had a faulty one, but I looked at the reviews online I am steering clear of it... it seems that TONS of customers have dealt with similar issues with this device being VERY unsafe. I urge you to look into this product before someone’s child is seriously injured or killed.

    I have a 3 month old that we bought a Fisher Price My Little Snugabunny Cradle ‘on Swing for. I noticed it getting wet and the plastic being like someone had spilled water into it. So I dried it and washed the cover. Well it has created mold on the seat cover and washing and using stain removal has not helped. I thought maybe our daughter was spiting up on it. But that wasn’t the case. Ever if she has a wet diaper at night it creates moisture and the plastic becomes wet. I recently saw a product recall of the same problems by fisher price call the Rock n play.

    On September 1st my 6 week old was sleeping in a Fisher Price Zen collection Papasan Craddle swing, when i awoke to him screaming because the swing seat had broke off the metal bar and fell to the ground dropping him on his head. Emergency care was not required because the swings head rest pillow slid and coushined his head from the floor and he was buckled in to the seat. I immediatley removed the swing from my home and placed it in an out side trash can to protect my other young children in my home. I called babies are us sunday morning and reported the problem, fisher price called me thursday morning during their buissness hours and they said that since I disposed of the product and could not send it back to them nothing could be done. and sent me $50 worth of vouchers as a curtacy.

    The product, in the report: Fisher Price Rainforest Open Top Cradle Swing. Model # J8158. Swing has 2 metal legs and seat hangs from metal bar in between the 2 legs. A mobile with rainforest leaves and animals is attached to swing. Seat cover is green with rainforest design and is removable. Swing seat turns to swing side to side or front to back and seat reclines. Seat also has attached tray and straps to hold baby in.

    My 5 month old daughter was swinging in a fisher price open top rainforest cradle swing when the seat of the swing broke off without warning and fell sideways onto the floor. Since my baby was securely fastened into the seat she did not fall out but her head did bump against the hard tile floor. She did not require emergency care but her head was red and very sore where it hit the floor. After examining the swing I found that the plastic at the base of the seat looked like it just snapped off. When the seat fell sideways it actually bent at least one of the screws that had been screwed into the base as well. At only 5 months of age my child was no where near the maximum weight recommendation for the swing so it should not have broke if it had been designed safely. I was very fortunate that my daughter did not sustain more severe injuries. If the plastic on this swing can “snap” that easily this is a VERY unsafe product! I know this is a very popular swing model and I was surprised that I could not find any recall information on it as I am sure my child is not the only one this has happened to.

Swing does not properly secure baby. my 5 month old daughter was hanging off the side head almost touching the floor. the swing itself has a bowl like shape allowing the baby to move around enough to fall off the side. only has straps that go around the waist which does not prevent head or upper body from hanging off the side. if I had not seen my daughter hanging off the side i fear she could have been seriously injured from the blood rushing to her head. we do not use this swing any more.

    Three month old baby flipped out head first, while still attached by waist belt, in swing. The infant was bent backwards head and upper body dangling out of swing, while the swing continued to try to rotate side to side. The swing is missing a five point harness safety belt as most other swings now have. The swing safety information says Maximum weight: 25 lbs. (11.3 kg) Developmental Guidelines: Use from birth until child becomes active and can climb out of the seat. My daughter is neither 25 pounds, she is 16 pounds or active and climb out of seats.     The product, in the report: It is a nice swing but it is VERY scary to use! It really should have a harness but it just has a belt that is too tight anyway. It comes with six speeds but I swear it only had one with us. Battery operated. It looks like other reviewers had had their swing catch on fire. Why is no one doing anything about this?

    We received the Fisher Price Little Lamb Swing for my baby shower in February and my daughter was born in April. Since the very beginning, I noticed that occasionally she would slightly shift in the seat to the side, even after belted in and with the tray attached. One day, I walked in after just briefly leaving the room and she was almost entirely out of the swing, bed down! I freaked out and called Fisher Price. Now, they have been very good to us and ultimately are reimbursing us for the product but I am seriously concerned about the safety of this product.

    I have read too many BAD reviews that are similar to mine and I am just shocked that there hasn’t been more exposure. This is dangerous and a little, helpless baby will get seriously hurt if you don’t do something about it fast.
