How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 2 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 12, 2026, sent to the company Mar 4, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 18, 2026

The product, in the report: Myllra IKEA crib, white

In 2023, we purchased an IKEA Myllra crib. This crib converts from an infant bed to a baby bed to a toddler bed, so it’s intended to be used over the course of several years.

In 2025, we needed to move the crib to retrieve an item which was thrown behind it by our child. When doing so, we noticed that one of the pressboard cross-pieces had developed a crack. We don’t know exactly when this happened, but the crib just saw normal use by an energetic toddler.

When moving the crib back into place, the cracked piece fully broke, causing one of the legs to fall off the crib. The leg cannot be reattached.

Thankfully, our child was not in the crib at the time. After the leg fell off, the crib tipped over and it would have caused serious injury had he been inside it.
