Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

  1. No one hurt

Made Dec 28, 2022, sent to the company Jan 3, 2023, published by CPSC Jan 18, 2023

The product, in the report: Skip Hop Celestial Dream Activity Gym

My 7 month old son was using the skip hop Celestial Dreams Activity Gym, which comes with a playmat and two bendable arches that criss cross the mat that you can hang toys on. The product had only been used for a couple of months according to how it is designed. We noticed that the arch had collapsed, and when we investigated, a plastic rod used to keep one arm of the arch sturdy had popped through its fabric casing and was poking out. On the end of the plastic rod was a small cap that came right off (no glue or threads) its the size of a liquid gel medicine tablet and would have been a choking hazard had we not noticed it before our baby did.

The product, in the report: Skip Hop Explore & More Follow-Me Bee 3-Stage Developmental Learning Crawl Toy 6.2 x 6.2 x 6.4 inches

We bought the “Skip Hop Explore & More Follow-Me Bee 3-Stage Developmental Learning Crawl Toy” for Christmas 2020. My child really started playing with it in April 2021. She was only 11 months old at the time, but somehow was able to break the battery compartment door. The plastic washer that holds the door in place with a screw very easily broke off, which allowed her to quickly grab a battery and put it in her mouth. Luckily, I was able to grab it in time. This washer shouldn’t be plastic. The battery compartment isn’t safe.

  3. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Skip Hop Baby Play Gym, Silver Lining Cloud, Grey. Size (inches): 36l x 36w x 19h; (cm): 91l x 91w x 48h

Activity mat collapsed/folded in half and covered 7.5 month old baby’s face.

My daughter likes to kick the raised arches to make the toys wiggle. She kicked the arch directly across from the sun on the mat. It caused the sun to flip up and over. It was folded perfectly in half and she couldn’t get out from underneath. The plush side (the white cloud on the mat) was covering her face. (The photo I provided was a reenactment photo, since I obviously rescued her immediately.)

The product, in the report: Skip hop silver lining tummy time mat ID# 030-10-0537

On January 18, 2020 my 5 month old was playing on her tummy time mat. It is made by skip hop. Product # 030-10-0537

There are toys that hang on it, one of them is a cloud with hanging raindrops. We were in the room with her and I heard a weird noise. I turned to look at her and one of the raindrops had become lodged in her throat. She couldn’t breathe. We ripped it out immediately and she was immediately able to scream and breathe. She spent the night very upset and projectile vomiting. We weren’t using the toy incorrectly. She was supervised. And it wasn’t a messed up toy. It’s just a horrible design flaw.
