The product, in the report: 6x8 baby play foam mat. Grey. “Safety testing is conducted by a CPSC approved (Consumer Product Safety Commission), independently accredited testing laboratory.” this statement is from Amazon product description.
I recently purchased a baby mat from Little Nomad, product was marketed as durable. In less than a month, the vinyl from the foam mat started to separate and peel. I found my 10 months old baby playing with the peeled parts and chewing on them. I had to discontinue use. On Amazon, in reviews, I found that over 30% of consumers are having the same issue.
As a registered nurse and a mother I am very concerned. If lettuce is identified as a chocking hazard for children under 5, then vinyl film should definitely not be on the menu.
