The product, in the report: Personalized Baby Busy Board, Custom Montessori Board With Name BB61, small rectangular board, green
We purchased a “Personalized Baby Busy Board, Custom Montessori Board With Name BB61” - small rectangular board for my son for Christmas. Yesterday, 1/10/25, at around 4pm my son (8 months old) was playing with it when I noticed that he had taken the bead slider area apart. He had one of the thin metal rods in his hand and the wooden beads and other metal rod were strewn around him. Upon closer investigation, I noticed that the wooden arm on the left that held the rods in place had come off. It looked like it had only been held there with glue or maybe tension. Luckily, I was right there and I took the rod from him and got the other rod l, baby esophagus-sized beads, and rest of the board away from him before he hurt himself. I am reporting because I don’t want this to happen to anyone else’s child and for it to end badly. The rods are not sharp but they could definitely puncture an eye or throat. And the beads have small holes that would not permit a child to breathe through if they were ingested.

I purchased a personalized bear busy board from Kindly Toys for my 10mo son for Christmas. This is not a safe toy for babies and toddlers.
First off, the puzzle pieces that are personalized for your child’s name are choking hazards. Upon more careful review, their terms and conditions even acknowledge that the “I” and “J” are choking hazards so they are supposed to be attached, the “I” on ours was absolutely not attached and I would advise that other letters including “L”, “E” and “S” are also choking hazards for small children that are prone to put everything in their mouth. We had to pull all of the puzzle pieces off immediately once he received this gift.
Second, my 10mo son was easily able to pull the sticks with balls loose - they are not securely attached and these balls are extremely hazardous. Even while supervising his play, these 9 small balls scattered everywhere when he pulled on the sticks and a couple of them were hard to locate, which was very concerning. He honestly hasn’t played much with this toy and this was the first time he really engaged with it which is especially concerning because it means the sticks just aren’t securely fastened at all. Thankfully there were no injuries as I was supervising him and immediately got him out of the room until I could locate each of these small wooden balls. I wanted to report this as I worry about more serious incidents occurring for other families unless there is more rigorous toy safety testing for this company.
