The product, in the report: Imaginarium Alphabet & Numbers Foam Puzzle Mat - 36-Piece http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11773791&prodFindSrc=search#showReviews
I work at a Babies R Us. It is NOT a side-by-side store coupled to a Toys R Us. This Item is sold at BOTH stores: Imaginarium Alphabet & Numbers Foam Puzzle Mat - 36-Piece http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11773791&prodFindSrc=search#showReviews It states on the packaging that it is recommended for ages 2+ but nowhere on the packaging does it warn about young babies (6 mo. and older) who are teething, having the opportunity of chewing off little chunks (a choke hazard). The letters separate out of the pad, and the centers of characters, like B, A, D, R & 4, 6, 9 also come out. They are small enough for a teether to hold in their hand and chew on. I have mentioned this to a few of the Babies R Us managers and their answer is to let parents make their own decisions about it and that I am not to warn parents of the possible danger.
I feel that this item should NOT be offered in the Babies R Us (stand alone) stores or they need to be RE-PACKAGED with a very visible warning about choking hazards.
