The product, in the report: Infant crib Legacy classic kids Madison convertible crib
I am reporting an unsafe infant crib. It is manufactured by Legacy Classic Furniture. Their address is Legacy Classic Furniture, 2575 Penny Road, High Point, NC 27265. The model is the Madison Convertible Crib, model number 2830-8900.
This crib is a convertible crib, meaning that the back board becomes a headboard for a full size bed once the infant outgrows the crib. The headboard, however has a ridge close to the sides and the crib side rails allow the ridge to be inside the crib. The ridge creates a sharp wood corner inside both back posts of the crib. An infant banged her head into one of the ridges and sustained black and blue bruises to the side of the head. The crib also allows for infant who is unsteady while sitting to fall back and sustain head trauma to the thick wooden headboard in the back of the crib. Crib allows infant to sustain repeat blows to the head.
