The product, in the report: The product is a summer infant pink spa bathtub

And I was gifted the summer infant spa bathtub for my daughter around five months ago since then she started developing a severe rash which I have taken her to the doctor Multiple times she hasn’t gotten any better and just worse I completely changed all her clothes or her bathing and lotions and everything you can think of until just recently I got fed up and I could open the bathtub (which I would thoroughly clean twice a week ) Once I cut it open it was full of mold and water between the first layer and the outer pink box of the bathtub making it extremely difficult and easily to go unnoticed I have images of the consistent rash and pictures of the mold on the inside of the tub.

I was using my nephew’s Summer Infant bath tub to bathe my 3 month old and the sling unclipped and my baby fell. He suffered scratches to his back and bumped his head. This sling is not safe as he could of suffered serious injuries. It’s definetly a tub that I do not recommend and it should be taken off the shelves.

I purchased 2 different Summer Infant Right Height Bathtubs and with the first one, the stitching came undone on one of the clips for the newborn sling and dropped my infant sharply into the tub full of water. The second one hasn’t even been removed from the plastic and I can clearly see that only HALF of the stitching is intact on the sling clip.

The product, in the report: I have a pink Summer Infant Lil’ Luxuries Whirlpool, Bubbling Spa and shower.

I was bathing my daughter in the Summer Infant Lil Luxuries Whirpool spa and tub today. She got upset, arched her back and dropped her head on the insert/plastic recliner for the tub. The recliner insert has a cloth cover that completely collapsed when she dropped her head back down. She nearly fell on her head in the tub. The cloth cover slips over the plastic recliner and attaches with an elastic band on each side, in the middle of the cover. The head portion is what collapsed on us.

I was giving my baby a bath and whole headrest cushion piece of this product sank down into the bath water almost causing my baby to drown if I did not catch him. I think this would be a great product if they would just add more hooks to the part the baby lays on. There is only two hooks on the side and none on the perimeter of the cushion part which with the weight of just a newborn and water weight if it gets wet can easily drown a baby.

I was bathing my infant son of 4 months in this bath tub,, when he tilted his head back as I was washing his hair this tub tipped backwards this also happened when he was about 3 months old also,,, you can release the ends of the tub so that a toddler can sit in it but this is not an option for my son as he is still a supported sitter and cannot yet sit independently.

The product, in the report: Baby Bath

While using this baby bath, I found it to be very unsafe. The rotating stand on the back of the baby support can easily be rotated the wrong direction when the baby pushes with his feet against the tub. Then the baby plunges beneath the water when it flattens out. This happened many times. Luckily, my child was attended and not injured or killed. This represents a serious design flaw and the product should be recalled. I have 4 children and have not had this issue with any other similar products.

The product, in the report: Inflatable bathtub

We purchased this product for our newborn, read the directions, and inflated it per them. When we tried to bathe her in it, we found it had no head support. Coupled that with the inflated cushion, she rolled into standing water that was right next to her head. My husband had to hold her head to make sure she didn’t drown.
