The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, care not known

Made Sep 7, 2023, sent to the company Jan 9, 2024, published by CPSC Jan 25, 2024

The product, in the report: This is the Frida Baby 4-in-1 Grow-with-Me Bath Tub. It’s an infant bath tub that has different settings based on the age of the baby. It doesn’t tell you anywhere on the packaging or information paperwork included when to move baby from one setting to the other. The product was white and the insert was blue. Item dimensions: 9.35 x 18.66 x 28.8 inches, weight: 3.54 Kilograms (pulled from [REDACTED] listing)

When I put my 3 almost 4 month old infant son in the Frida Baby 4-in-1 Grow-with-Me Bath Tub in the infant designated setting, he started to suffocate because the spot where the head goes is way too low. His face was changing colors and we could hear him struggling. There’s also no other support in the infant position other than a small dimple in the plastic. When we immediately changed it for the next size up setting on the bath, there was ZERO head support and if I needed to look away from my son for a second he could have easily slipped and fallen into the water and drowned. While he was seated in this position we had to adjust him several times because he kept slipping and was having trouble breathing. Myself and my fiancé used it as intended inside of our own bathtub. When we went to the reviews of this highly rated bath tub, but actually looked at the 1 star reviews we were horrified that this was a common occurrence! I wanted to report this as a baby could easily drown or suffocate in this bath tub. We were lucky both of us were there to bathe him and to make sure he was okay.

The product, in the report: Frida 4 in 1 grow with me tub

The mat in the Frida baby bathtub is terrible! It molds and starts to smell no matter how you clean and dry it.
