The product, in the report: Fisher-Price 4In-1 Sling ‘n Seat Tub
I am sending this message to bring a serious concern to your attention regarding the Fisher-Price 4In-1 Sling n Seat Tub Baby to Toddler Bath. As a parent, I purchased this product for my child this past year. Unfortunately, I discovered a significant issue that I believe needs urgent attention.
Upon a couple months of using the bath, I was mortified to find that the adhesive on the inside of the tub had developed black mold. It was an alarming discovery, particularly because this product is designed for babies, a vulnerable group who should never be exposed to such unsanitary conditions. This concern appears to be widespread, and after some research, I found multiple reports from other parents online experiencing the same issue. Fisher-Price responded to many of these reviews advising customers to contact their customer service, yet the product is still being sold and those with affected units have not been contacted. This can all be seen via a web search using terms like “4In-1 Sling n Seat Tub mold” to see the feedback and complaints across various platforms.
Finding mold in a product manufactured by a company I trusted to bathe my child was both shocking and deeply concerning. It’s not just a minor oversight; its a health hazard. Mold can lead to respiratory issues and other health problems, particularly for infants, and this is something no parent should have to worry about when caring for their child.
In addition to this issue, I have also seen countless reports of babies with injured toes from cuts caused by sharp plastic on the insert of this bathtub.

The product, in the report: Fisher-Price 4-In-1 Sling ‘n Seat Baby Bath Tub.
I was bathing my 5 month old with a Fisher-Price 4-In-1 Sling ‘n Seat Baby Bath Tub, in the “lay and stay” position, and the seat insert detached suddenly causing my baby (including her face) to be instantly submerged in the bath water. She was only under for a fraction of a second, because I was right there and paying attention. And luckily she didn’t breath in at that moment. She was coughing for about a half hour after, I believe she inhaled a tiny bit of water from what was on her face after that brief submersion. I literally stayed up all night watching her for signs of secondary drowning. She seems fine now and I’m in touch with her pediatrician but it was terrifying, and could have been much worse if I’d even looked away for a second or stepped a foot away to grab something. This product is defective in design.

The product, in the report: Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Sling ‘n Seat-Climbing Leaves
We have been using the Fisher-Price 4-in-1 Sling ‘n Seat Tub in, proper, stage 2 setting. While giving a routine bath, one of our babies favorite things, her toe became raw, burnt, and bleeding. The circle design on the seat insert, which her feet sat in in stage 2, broke her toe open. The kicking and enjoyment of her bath led to the rough circles injuring her pinky toe.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price 4 in 1 bathtub with green insert
My 2 month old was using the fisher price 4 in 1 bathtub in the phase two position as she had outgrown the newborn insert. She began bleeding on her right pinky toe while sitting in the tub and kicking/splashing. She developed a sore/cut on her right pinky toe and redness on her left pinky toe which required one ER visit and one urgent care visit with two separate antibiotics due to infection. The tub was being used in an empty adult tub with 1 on 1 supervision.

The product, in the report: Fisher Price 4-in-1 Sling ’n Seat Tub SKU #: BDY86
The Fisher Price 4-in-1 Sling ‘n Seat Tub grew mold underneath the warning stickers that don’t peel off. The warning/caution/etc type of stickers that Fisher Price has inside the tub and on the seat slowly started having water peel away at the sticker. The top layer of the sticker eventually fell off, revealing mold that was growing underneath the sticker.
I reached out to Fisher Price to express these concerns that babies are being bathed in water contaminated with hidden mold. They seemed unconcerned and only responded by offering to send a replacement part. When I said they were missing the issue of a potential product defect they stated “I understand your concern about the mold in the product. This may have been a manufacturing issue but rest assured that we are sending you a full product replacement that you can use without issues”

The product, in the report: “Parents and babies alike will delight in the new character tub from Fisher Price. This cute design features a fun penguin with sweet little wings, and bright yellow feet, one is a water strainer and the other is a water scoop. The foam backing creates a smiling face that is comfortable for baby’s back. The baby stopper insert help to keep baby in a secure, comfortable position and can be removed when baby is bigger and needs a full size toddler tub to splash and play in. To make bath time easier for mom, this tub also includes a plug for easy draining.” (from http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Tub-Penguin-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B008DDPLM8)
A baby bath tub had a defective part and should be recalled because it could lead to drowning. My infant son was taking a bath and the “baby stopper” simply detached--if i hadn’t been holding his head he would have been underwater in a second. The product is shown here (http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Tub-Penguin-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B008DDPLM8), and the description includes the term “baby stopper,” which is a yellow piece of plastic that stops nothing.
