The product, in the report: 4-in-1 convertible crib

I purchased a summerinfant 4-in-1 convertible crib model# 17160 in June 2015. My daughter who is 1 years old has got her leg stuck in the side of the crib between the wood to the point of almost having to cut the crib to get it out. This has happened 3 nights in a row and now I’m terrified to let her even sleep in this crib. She now has horrible bruising on both sides of her knee.

The product, in the report: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Child-of-Mine-by-Carter-s-Brookline-4-in-1-Fixed-Side-Crib-Chocolate/19414479#ProductDetail

My 17 month old has been using a crib for about a year now. He is still of age and size to be doing so. He has been stuck, leg to thigh, in between the railing 4 times now. Each time it is so hard to remove him due to panic and fear. I have looked into crib bumpers but he can stand and push them down. Each time he sustained very serve bruising and mild pain. I at one point attempted to take a hammer to a rail to get him out. I have since learned that applying a large amount of cooking oil to him and the bars can get him out a little easier. I’m at the point that if this happens again I will destroy the crib and purchase a new, different brand, to keep him and others safe. Here is a link to the exact crib we currently are using http://www.walmart.com/ip/Child-of-Mine-by-Carter-s-Brookline-4-in-1-Fixed-Side-Crib-Chocolate/19414479#ProductDetail

The product, in the report: Summer infant Manchester Lifetime crib sold at Babies r Us. purchased in april 2012

Crib support board emits large amounts of nauseous gas. Believed to be formaldehyde ‘off gassing’ when the humidity in our home became very high due to rainy weather, we noticed a smell from our bedroom where we (mother and father) and 6mo old child sleep. We realized the smell was causing nausea and near vomiting in mother who sleeps 2 feet from crib. After much investigating we figured out the smell was coming from the mattress support board. After removing board from home, smell immediately and drastically reduced and after airing the room, the smell is pretty much gone. It left much lingering chemical smell in the infants mattress.

The product, in the report: Fixed Side Crib

The consumer says she laid her 6 month old down to sleep when he got his leg stuck in between the rail. He could not get his leg out. The consumer says he had flipped onto his stomach and was unable to turn back over. The consumer was able to get his leg out. She contacted the manufacturer who told her that the spacing between each bar meets regulations. They told her that babies come in different sizes (fat, skinny etc). The consumer told them that she can fit her entire arm in between the railing.
