  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jun 16, 2011, published by CPSC Sep 19, 2011

The product, in the report: Baby Crib

Caller put her 23 month old baby boy down for his nap but heard him crying as if he was in pain. She went to his room and found him with his left arm stuck at the elbow area. Baby was standing up, at the head, his arm was stuck at the headboard where design of headboard is perpendicular to slats. She went to him and was able to wiggle his arm around and free him easily but his elbow was red and bruised at the bony area.

She called manufacturer June 14, no answer. She called manufacture June 15, spoke with [REDACTED] who told her the baby is too large to be sleeping in a crib. 23 month old baby weighs 22lb & is 32 inches tall. She asked to speak with a manager who was not available at that time.

Supervisor named [REDACTED] representing manufacturer called her June 15, 2011 and demension are within regulation, that it was fairly common for them to receive reports of arms & legs stuck in slats but not in head board area. Caller believes this to be a danger and would like this CPSC to be alerted to this issue.
