The product, in the report: Dream On Me Carson Classic 3-in-1 Convertible Crib White, style 675

Since 2004, I have provided a baby crib service to the Rhode Island area and purchase new cribs each year. I use the cribs purchased for two seasons the donate them. I buy approximately half on my crib inventory each year keeping approximately 30 cribs in stock. This year, on May 14th, I purchased 11 cribs manufactured by Dream on Me. Specifically the Dream On Me Carson Classic 3-in-1 Convertible Crib White, style 675.

When we started to use these cribs we found that the mattress support screws were causing the embedded nut to push free of the wood leaving that corner of the mattress support unattached to the wood frame. This has occurred on 6 of the 11 cribs I purchased. I feel this is going to happen to all. I feel the issue is a serious risk of injury or death and I have stopped using them and have contacted the manufacturer. They asked me for this same information, which i provided.

I have been doing this for a long time and know a problem when i see one. I told the manufacturer I thought it may be a design flaw where the mattress support screw is too long. When tightened up, it bottoms out in the wood and pushes the embedded nut out of the wood hole. in my opinion this is a defective product and a risk to infants.
