The product, in the report: vented back sleeper, adjustable bumpers, “turn head” tab, curved bumpers, long bumpers, soft quilted fabric, white with powder blue on the wedges at the vents and a blue sheep on the “turn head” tab
When my baby was 4 months old just after feeding him a bottle of formula and no success with burping I put him to bed in a sleep positioner, which is a piece of fabric with two wedges sewn onto it just far enough apart to fit a baby between them. This is to keep him from rolling to the side or onto his stomach, so the baby is forced to lay on his back. He also had one of those little snuggle bears kinda like a mini blankie with a little stuffed bear head in the center. I left him there in his crib to sleep while I was doing some work in my office. After about 20 minutes company arrived and I went down the hall to close my baby’s door so our voices would not wake him. That is when I saw a most horrifying sight! My baby stuck in position from that sleep positioner and his favorite snuggle bear stuck to his face. I pulled the bear away and every orifice on his face was puddled white with spit up, a most awful image forever etched into my memory. I picked him up and his limbs and head seemed so heavy as they flopped downward, he was totally limp. I cleared the spit up from his face as I ran to the phone to call for help. While on the phone with the 911 operator I saw my baby’s eyes roll into the back of his head and his body shuddered slightly as he appeared to be struggling for one last breath. In the calmest voice I could muster I repeatedly said to him “wake up for Mommy my sweet baby boy, please wake up, Mommy’s here, I love you so very much” as I carried him quickly out the front door to the street (which is about 40 feet) and to my surprise the paramedics were just arriving, never could I have imagined a response time so quick! Medics placed me with my baby in my arms onto a stretcher and into the ambulance and off to Children’s Hospital we rushed. On the way there they placed an oxygen mask on my baby’s face then to the amazement of the medics and myself [REDACTED] regained consciousness and appeared completely normal before we had even traveled two miles. Once we arrived at Children’s, doctors ran tests, scanned his brain, etc... No damage was detected. Thank you to God and to the Angel ([REDACTED]) who came to visit on that day, (had company not arrived, it could have been another 20 minutes before I checked on him) I am forever grateful.
