Hurt, no treatment Made Jun 28, 2015, sent to the company Jul 7, 2015, published by CPSC Jul 28, 2015
The product, in the report: Kolcraft 800 pediatric crib mattress (Owl and star design)
I recently purchased a crib and mattress bundle for my seven month old son. The mattress included in the bundle was the kolcraft 800 pediatric mattress. First, the mattress is too small for cribs, leaving approximately 3 inches at the foot and side. Second, it is extremely soft. I have only put my son on this mattress a few times, and every time he has sat up the mattress has given no support, causing him to smash his head into the crib panels. His feet have also gotten caught in between the mattress and the crib while he’s squirming.
