No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 5, 2026, sent to the company Aug 14, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 31, 2026
The product, in the report: The product is supposed to be a firm foam newborn mattress for a bassinet. It is 32 x 18 and 2” thick with a gel side and memory foam inside.
I wanted to report a mattress we purchased for our newborn. The product is from Amazon and I am writing because I was fooled by their marketing. Their photos show CPSC.us as the website and provide NO certification standards at all. I didn’t realize that they were not federally certified or met the standards necessary for our baby!
The product is a AOHWIDER Baby Bassinet Mattress with Gel side and memory foam. We didn’t even use the product as was highly suspect of it before I would even let my child lay on it. I kept feeling it and said that it was way too soft for a newborn and was not firm enough at all. I compared it to our [REDACTED] Child Mattress that is at least certified for safety by the [REDACTED] and meets EU/US compliance for materials. I can 100% feel a difference in firmness between the two products and will not place my newborn onto the AOHWIDER mattress.
