The product, in the report: 4 in 1 Baby Bassinet, Pack and Play, Bedside Crib Sleeper, Diaper Changer, Quickly Assembled and Folded Portable Crib with Mattress and Mosquito Net, Easy to Carry Color: Beige Item Weight: 15.26Kg Material Type: Nylon Dimensions: N/A Model Number: BB1028
The bassinet has a major flaw that violates all safety precautions. The net base you have to zip through all sides in order for it to properly function as a safe bassinet once you place the cushioned mat on top, it works fine but for it to be a functional safe bedside sleeper as its designed too. You have to willingly unzip both angle zippers on the side fence in order for it to slide down into position of the bedside sleeper. So, for it to be a functional bedside sleeper you have to purposely unsecure the zipper base which causes a gap of absolute no protection and a major opening underneath the base mattress and the framed play pin. So with this setup and design flaw it allowed my almost one month old newborn to get his head and neck wedged underneath the side fence and pinned in between the mattress and the unzipped bassinet sleeping attachment All while he was sleeping. We woke up to his crying in fear and arguably shout for life as he had literally could not move as he was pinned under the side fence and I had to manually rotate his head just to free him. There are so many what ifs with what couldve of happened because of this safety hazard, now we fear even putting him in this product and want to report to the company personally that either you refund this product to us or take it completely off the market and give us a safety settlement as the biggest what if is. what if his airway was blocked off by the side fence and died or managed to fall in between the gap and have massive head and body injuries due to having no protection besides the provided mattress that he couldve fell under. An absolute nightmare to wake up too. Amazon has my contact info, i better be hearing back from someone within the manufacturer or company head.
