The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Swaddle Me Beginnings Bassinet - Gray

The product is the SwaddleMe Beginnings Bassinet Select. It is a “cantilever” bassinet, only supported on one side. I have been using it since my 6-month old child was about ten days old. As time as gone on, I’ve noticed it is no longer level, which is causing my baby to roll to one side and he recently woke up rolled to that side. Because safe sleep requires a flat surface, I have discontinued use of the product due to the risk of suffocation.

The product, in the report: SwaddleMe sleeper Gray and white 91394 (model number)

We purchased the SwaddleMe bedside sleeper from BuyBuyBaby in Coral Springs Florida. We were encouraged by the sales associate to purchase the floor model (that was already put together by the store as it was a floor model). On June 2nd my 5month old (16pound) child (whom can not roll or pull herself up) was sleeping when the top section detached from the bottom (a screw broke) causing my child to fall onto the floor.

The product, in the report: SwaddleMe By Your Side Sleeper. A co-sleeping bassinet for you to sleep with your baby in the bed

My almost 4 month old baby, rolled over and got her arm stuck over the side netting, then lifted her head up enough to get it over the side, but could not get her head off, she began choking. Fortunately I was right there and could remove her. The instructions say: “NEVER leave child unattended” and “This product is only suitable for a child who cannot ...roll over”. Children can meet this criteria early. STOP USE RIGHT AWAY if your baby can roll over. Very Dangerous!
