The product, in the report: Simmons Kids’ Shooting Star Rocking Bassinet with Airflow Mesh - Platinum. Purchased from target

Simmons Kids’ Shooting Star Rocking Bassinet with Airflow Mesh - Platinum. I double checked after the first incident that everything was installed properly and all the snaps are snapped and everything was correct. Its says its safe for infants 0-5 months, No injuries actually occurred, however 1 or 2 kicks and my almost 4 month old daughter could have fallen through the bottom side of the bassinet and fallen onto the floor. I wouldnt want another child to get hurt, its a high fall for an infant if they were to actually fall through.. its safe as long as the child is swaddled and not able to move there extremities. However, the mesh on sides on the product are loose. There are snaps on the sides of the product but theres no snap on the bottom side. Just a hole in the mesh where it goes over the music and vibration box. The material is loose enough that the slightest movement or kick is enough for the fabric to lift off the back and then the whole side falls down, into the bassinet, tangling up the infant. And allowing for a huge area where infants can fall through . Just to clarify, I do not leave her unattended for lengths of time . , and took my eyes off her the first time long enough to put a few dishes in the dishwasher, and quickly use the restroom the 2 nd . She wasnt crying or through a fit either time, Just regular infant motion and moving was enough to have the mesh pull up over the side and tangle her up.

The product, in the report: Simmons baby bassinet

Brand new Simmons kids bassinet. There is a vibrating sound machine attached. At 3 am the sound machine burst into smoke. We disassembled it this morning and the control board was severely melted. If my wife had not been awake, this very easily could have started a fire on the bassinet!
