The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

My baby has been sleeping in the Maxi-Cosi Iora Bassinet since he was born in May 2025. Almost every morning he would wake up on his side rolled toward the front of the bassinet with his face pressed up against the mesh. We discovered that the bassinet was tilted in one direction and causing our baby to roll. There was no way to tighten or adjust the bed. Because he was sleeping well at night, we allowed him to continue to sleeping in the bassinet. It wasnt until we were transitioning our baby out of his swaddle at three months old that I learned how dangerous side sleeping is as a risk factor for SIDS. I contacted the manufacturer (Dorel Juvenile Group Inc) to report the problem. After verifying the tilt via video, they offered to send me a new bassinet in 8-10 business days after I destroyed the current bassinet on video (marked out the model number, slashed open the mesh side). When I asked what my baby should sleep in until then, the support representative said that I should not continue to use the current product. I am thankful that my child was not harmed by this product but I am concerned that other children could be in danger. There is no warning included in the instruction manual regarding reporting tilting problems to the manufacturer.
