The product, in the report: Bassinet
It was in the middle of the night and pitch black in my bedroom. My newborn infant was sleeping beside me in a Kolcraft bassinet. She was fussy and I put a pacifier in her mouth. She suddenly screamed a bloodcurdling scream I’d never heard from her before. I reached quickly for her and grabbed her ankle right before she fell. The bassinet collapsed in a vertical position and she was sliding head first onto the hardwood floor. I caught her, but just barely. The next morning my husband latched the bassinet again and said he thought he fixed it. I didn’t dare to use it again and thank goodness I didn’t. My two year old daughter put her baby doll in it and it collapsed again. It was the 2011 model; not listed on the recall list. Earlier models of the same bassinet have been recalled for very similar issues. I am still shaken at the tragedy that could have happened.

The product, in the report: Kolcraft Cuddle N Care Rocking bassinet with light vibes mobile
We purchased this Kolcraft Cuddle N Care Rocking bassinet with light vibes bassinet used from someone. We used it just fine until last night when my two month old daughter had managed to get the snaps unsnapped and scooted herself underneath the material on the left side of the bassinet. Her head got stuck and she started crying. She is fine, but I would NEVER recommend this because of this. We purchased a new [playpen] today so she won’t have to sleep in this bassinet ever again! It could have killed her!

The product, in the report: 3-in-1 Bassinet
Screws constantly were becoming loose. The inside of the screws worked with an allen wrench which easily striped the screws. From the screws coming loose the bassinet would tend to start to rock. The plastic around the top of the screws that holds the metal frame in place, that the actually bed sits in, breaks giving one side or corner away causing a risk of fall injury. This happen while my little one was sleeping thank goodness I went to check on him before he fell out.
