The product, in the report: hiccapop Day Dreamer Sleeper Baby Lounger Seat for Infants - Travel Bed - Bassinet Alternative, Charcoal Gray

Hiccapop is making a false claim that their inclined product “in no way causes a risk” while baby is sleeping in it. Their marketing also says it’s good for sleep.

They answered this question: Q: Do the high sidewalls present sids risk for newborns?

A: Hi... we were not sure if you meant present, or prevent. Regardless, in respect to both cases, the answer is no. The product in no way causes a risk to children while resting or sleeping. Conversely, we do not claim that it prevents SIDS, because that is an illegal term or claim to make. No one knows what causes SIDS, so there is no known prevention. There are things over the years that have acted like SIDS, but in reality were discovered to be the inhalation of too much carbon dioxide, or suffocation from soft bedding, toys, or anything else they could obstruct the free airflow from and to a child’s mouth. The daydreamer has been around for many years now, and is a bulletproof and proven product that you should get years of enjoyment from. We have seen children six and seven years old still using their daydreamer, but obviously not now for sleeping. We hope this has answered your questions. Sleep safe, hiccapop see less
