The product, in the report: Halo Swivel Sleeper 4.0

The Halo Sleeper Swivel 4.0 model is what we purchased and realized it was defective and does not lock in place to the base. It is very easy to lift the sleeping portion off of the base with a quick lift. Halo Dream, Inc. approved a warranty replacement for our newborn bassinet, recognizing we were given a defective product. As a condition of receiving the replacement, they instructed us to permanently damage the mesh sidewall of the existing bassinet so that it cannot be used and provide photographic proof before they would ship the replacement. Families who rely on the bassinet as their infant’s only sleep space may be left without a safe sleep environment during the replacement period, enabling unsafe sleep for a baby while the family waits on a warranty replacement. This policy must be changed as it can put a baby in harms way until a new bassinet arrives. Upon emailing the company about this, they recognize the safety concern but have not made any changes to prevent this from happening.
