No incident, no one hurt Made Oct 9, 2026, sent to the company Oct 19, 2026, published by CPSC Nov 2, 2026
The product, in the report: Lil snooze deluxe II nursery center play yard with Napper, changer, full size bassinet and travel bag. Forest party grey.
I purchased this item to use as a safe sleeping space for my 6 week old daughter while I visited family out of town. I used the napper attachment on the bassinet for her to sleep in. No injuries occurred. I am reporting the removable ‘Napper’ attachment included due to misleading marketing terms and design features that violate safe infant sleep principles and federal rules. The item is prominently named and marketed online as a ‘Napper’a term that explicitly implies a safe space for an infant to nap or sleep. However, the attachment features a permanent incline, hammock style and plush toys. These design traits create an extreme risk for infant positional asphyxiation, airway compression, and suffocation if a baby’s chin drops to their chest. While the product manual includes a text disclaimer stating ‘Never leave child unattended,’ the digital and retail advertising explicitly encourages parents to view this attachment as a cozy sleeping spot for a young infant. Marketing an uncertified, inclined attachment as a ‘napper’ directly undermines public safe-sleep education and poses an ongoing danger to infants whose caregivers rely on retail descriptions for safety validation

No incident, no one hurt Made Mar 9, 2023, sent to the company Mar 17, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 3, 2023
The product, in the report: Passport Bassinet Stroller. The product is described as: Whether it’s naptime or time for a stroll, Baby Trend’s got you covered! The Passport Bassinet Stroller offers a bassinet mode option that allows your baby to have the comfort of an in-home bassinet wherever you go. With added snooze protection, a full zip mesh covering will shield your baby from outside factors to allow them a peaceful sleep even when out and about. Recommended Use Stroller: Birth ~ 50 lbs
I reached out to the company BabyTrend, to ask about their Passport Bassinet Stroller. The manual refers to the device as a bassinet and states it is safe for sleep, stating the product is safe for infants. I asked for the [REDACTED] standards for the product because recent legislation dictates that a product can not be marketed as a sleep device for infants unless it meets [REDACTED] standards for a bassinet. The employee refused, repeatedly, to give me the standards that the product met and then incorrectly directed me to the [REDACTED] website to check and see which standards their specific product met. The [REDACTED] website does not list off specific products. I believe BabyTrend is in violation of Safety Standards for Infant Sleep Products by selling non-compliant products and advertising it as safe for sleep. I have pictures of the conversation.
UPDATED: 3/13/2023: [Please consider this email exchange for the report [REDACTED] that was made earlier today. It is confirmation that the product does not meet sleep safety standards. Furthermore, it is concerning that the VP of Baby Trend, Inc. does not understand that their company cannot market any device for infant sleep that does not meet infant sleep standards. The Passport Bassinet Stroller is advertised as a stroller and bassinet. I am also concerned if their other products “nappers” meet bassinet standards as well: [REDACTED] ]

The product, in the report: Nursery Center FEATURES Canopy converts to a toy bar with a simple zip! Deluxe parent organizer and premium side storage Flip away changing table Removable full size bassinet Electronics unit with music, nightlight & vibration Easy compact fold Storage tote for easy travel One hand locking mechanism for simple setup RECOMMENDED USE Playard: Birth ~ 30 lbs or 35” Bassinet/Changing Table: Birth ~ 4 m, weight: up to 15 lbs, height: up to 25” whichever comes first.
Placed my 4 month old 13 lb granddaughter in the basinet of the BabyTrend Nursery Center for the first time for a nap. We heard her screaming and went in to find her off to one side of the mattress with the other side flipping up and over on her. There is no way to attach the basinet mattress to the bassinet frame to prevent this from happening. She could have suffocated had we not been right there to save her.
