The bassinet is designed for infant use. There is an opening for easy access to the baby and to take him in and out of the bassinet. Right at this opening, there are 2 jagged metal parts jutting right out, one on each side. On six separate occasions we have suffered deep cuts along this part. There have also been 2 terrifying close calls with our baby getting close to those parts as well. Other people have also reported similar incidents online. I reached out to the manufacturer and they did not care.

While using the Baby Delight Beside Me Dreamer Bassinet, I found my son rolled into the side of my bed while in his sleep sack. He cannot roll. This occurred because the sleep surface is free floating and does not remain flat.
There were fortunately no injuries because he was removed in time.

The consumer found that the product was not level, after it was assembled. There is a hard mattress that snaps into the frame on the bottom. This frame is not level.
The consumer reported her concerns to the manufacturer and dealer but indicated that she has been going in circles with the companies and they have offered to replace the unit but she wanted to ensure this issue is looked into completely.
She is concerned that they may not address the issue and other consumers could be at risk.

We have the Baby Delight Beside Me Dreamer Bassinet & Bedside Sleeper that was gifted to us. We place our son in the middle of the bassinet on his back every time. However, this morning, our 4 week old son wiggled and rolled in his bassinet to the edge where he could have suffocated on the product side. His face was beside the solid fabric panel on the zip-down part without mesh. His face was millimeters away from smothering. We’ve noticed the product slightly leans to the side of the bassinet meant to go against the bed. We checked for proper assembly and it still leans. When searching online about this concern, several other consumers reported this same problem in their reviews on [REDACTED]. The solid fabric panel and the slight lean are deadly!

We built a bedside bassinet and it leans significantly. We turned it over and noticed how badly it’s welded together. It’s welded in a way that causes it to lean to one side. My baby would roll into the side.

The product, in the report: Baby Delight Snuggle Nest. The product had soft woven sides that were not solid.
The product was a Baby Delight Snuggle Nest. A preterm 2-month-old was placed in the Nest which was on the couch next to an adult. The baby was swaddled, placed on her back & found face down. The investigator noted that the Nest showed movement when weight was applied to the surface of the couch and that it had woven soft sides. According to the product website under “Key Safety Considerations” it is only to be used on the floor and it is not to be used for sleep. The infant died.
