  1. No incident, no one hurt

The product, in the report: Infant Bassinet

My 3 month old daughter was in the bassinet. I woke up to a horrible clicking sound. The bassinet basket was making violent jerking movements and tilting to one side. The motion and slant caused my daughter to slide to the side of the bassinet. Had I not woken up my daughter could have been seriously hurt. I used this bassinet for 4 months with my son. Stored it in the garage. Then used it for my daughter. Since thw first day of use the bassinet has occasionally made a soft clicking noise when changing direction of motion. The bassinet has seen a total of 8 months of use. I understand that the bassinet has a 1 year warranty. But that shouldn’t mean that after 1 year the bassinet is no longer safe for use. The bassinet is continuing to operate, but it is operating in a seriously dangerous manner. Due to the manufactures inability to guarantee that their product is safe for use after 1 year, it should be recalled before serious infant injury or death occurs. I reached out to the manufacturer about this issue. They responded that I should have discontinued use when the clicking first occurred and then this incident would not have happened. So the manufacturer seems to be aware of the issue with their product, but is not taking action to fix it. I would also like to add that I have checked reviews on retail websites and other consumers have had serious issues.
