The product, in the report: Minnie mouse first years potty chair
My less than 20 pound toddler was using her Minnie Mouse First Years Potty. She leaned backwards causing the lid to pop off. This resulted in her head hitting our tile floor. Thankfully she is okay. I contacted First Years where a representative was very unconserned. She would only comment that the lid was intended to pop off to prevent cracking and breaking producing sharp edges and that it was not intended to be leaned on. I do understand this, but I also feel like it should be stressed in the warnings that the unit be placed against a wall when in use. From her response it is obvious that the are aware that the lids easily pop off, that is the intention, she said this clearly. Her solution was to not let my child lean back on the lid. Her solution did not make this unsafe potty safe in my opinion. There are pictures all over the Internet showing a little girl on the potty placed in the middle of the bathroom floor and the manufacturer even uses the term that it is a STURDY FREESTANDING POTTY.

The product, in the report: Boy’s potty training potty.... Disney Pixar Cars 2 Rev and /go Potty System... by The First Years
My son was excited to get a potty training practice potty. We bought the Cars boy’s potty by The First Years from Target. Naturally, he was playing with it and exploring it to check it all out. Of course this is what you want a 2 year old to do so they get comfortable with it. He sat on it without the removable potty seat on it and got 4 big deep purple scratches on the back of his thighs. I have never heard him shriek so loud. Now he is afraid. Why would a potty be as sharp as a knife?!! This product is awful. Now he wants nothing to do with it.

UPC: 071463071937 Unit Dimensions: 13.5” x 3.0” x 14.0”
Yesterday my son (3yr 4months old) was seated in the toilet seat like this:
http://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Disney-Pixar-Colors/dp/B0010P5Q7Q/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1364653613&sr=8-4&keywords=toilet+seat+children+cars+blue
and when he finished and got up, his penis was stuck in the front cup and it was slid open. I rushed his to St. Davids Regional Hospital where the ER doctor had to stitch the base of his penis (4 stitches) with local anesthesia. Frightening experience.
Needless to say that this product’s safety must be scrutinized. I find it lethally dangerous.
Than you for reading this.
All the best,

First aid Made Jul 11, 2012, sent to the company Jul 30, 2012, published by CPSC Aug 13, 2012
The product, in the report: Dark pink potty training system by the first years. It is the Disney Princess collection...has three princesses on the inside toilet lid. It is part of the 3-in-1 musical collection. Looks like the model is Y9401.
We JUST bought my daughter a TOMY The First Years Disney Princess Magical Sounds potty system this morning. The toilet has a training seat that rests on top of the toilet base. Unfortunately, this training seat is VERY easy for a toddler to remove, which I didn’t realize was a problem until, within a matter of seconds, my daughter removed it and sat into the base. All of a sudden she was screaming profusely. I immediately picked her up to see blood on my arm...her bottom was so severely cut she bled onto my arm while I was holding her. She had three large cuts on her butt cheeks and several smaller ones on her back.
Obviously, sharp plastic on the inside of a toilet base that has a toilet seat that is easily removable (doesn’t at all lock in place) is a HUGE hazard for a toddler. My daughter is only 13 mos and removed the seat quickly and sat into the base. I felt so guilty when I googled the product to find many other parents complaining about similar cuts from the inside of the base...some kids got cuts just from sticking their fingers in it. To think I just thought I was buying a little toilet for my daughter to begin potty training on...now we’ll be lucky if she ever sits on a toilet again! I feel so terrible that she is in so much pain from that. I would’ve never thought sitting into the base would’ve done anything to her!!

The product, in the report: Toilet training seat model number Y9402
My child has been usings The First Year’s Disney-Pixar Cars Rev and Go Potty System for two months. The seat has been constantly checked and cleaned but my child has developed contact dermatitis from the black foam seat. Now, whenever she sits on the seat she quickly develops an itchy red rash on her legs that touch the seat. I have contacted the manufacturer.
