The product, in the report: From the Manufacturer A 3-in-1 Potty Chair that speaks 10 phrases in English and Spanish when your child gives Elmo a high five. It comes with language, volume and power controls. This Sesame Street 1-2-3 Learn with Me Potty Chair from Kolcraft features large bowl to prevent splashes and leaks, and fits securely under seat. The chair also converts to a sturdy step stool with anti-skid grippers for added safety.
We just received this potty seat in the mail. My 19 month old daughter was investigating it. She was practicing sitting on and off of it, and occasionally she would turn it upside down. I would then return it right side up. At one point, I thought the outermost portion of the seat was attached but there must have been a tiny gap. My daughter held on to the rim to sit down, and her middle finger on the right hand went into this gap. When she sat down all her weight was pressed onto the finger that was stuck in the gap and she started screaming. I had no idea what happened until I saw the tip of her finger turning purple. We put ice on it and it is now okay. I am afraid that had I not been right there, her fingertip could have been lacerated or amputated from her own weight. She did not know to stand up to relieve the pressure. I know this is not a toy but part of potty training would require her familiarizing herself with and being comfortable with her potty seat, and now I have reservations about letting her use this one despite her infatuation with Elmo.
